I play a lot of jazz and latin, and I had been using a DW 5000 accelerator for several years when I discovered Axis at a drum convention. I thought, then, that an Axis would be the next pedal I buy. So, I finally needed a new pedal, and I bought an Axis AAX-X. I'm very glad that I did. Easily the best pedal I've played on. There may be better ones out there, but this is the best I've seen.

I purchased this pedal after resaerching every review I could find. After I got it home and I was less than thrilled with it. The pedal has very good movement. It is also very accurate and fast. My problem with it was it had no power or volume to it on my drums. I have used DW 5000 and am very comfortable with them. The Axis just did not have the volume or power as my DW's. Tried the hard mallet, the sonic beater DW and Gibraltar beaters all with disappointing results. Other efforts at gaining more power just tired my legs out.

I play a lot of jazz and latin, and I had been using a DW 5000 accelerator for several years when I discovered Axis at a drum convention. I thought, then, that an Axis would be the next pedal I buy. So, I finally needed a new pedal, and I bought an Axis AAX-X. I'm very glad that I did. Easily the best pedal I've played on. There may be better ones out there, but this is the best I've seen.

I own this pedal and it is they fastest pedal ive ever played on in my 35 years of drumming ,,I did break the tension spring but the AXIS web sight replace it for 5 bucks per spring and I had it in less than 3 days,,other than that this pedal ROCKS HARD,

I've owned this pedal for over 10 years, and I have only broken small parts which were replaced promptly from the factory! I'm a lead foot and have broken many different brands of pedals(especially the foot broad!) but not this puppy!It's the best of the best!!!

I have two of these on my double bass kit. These are amazingly responsive. You have way more control using these bad boys, than using any other brand. They are a little tricky to get used to at first. However, once you get it, they are oh so fast and powerful. best pedals out there. GET THEM!

I have two of these pedals on a dual kick drum kit. I love them, they work great. I did have one issue, I wore out and broke the springs that came with them. They are aluminum, and not very strong. Overall, I am glad that I bought them, they are pretty expensive, though. That's the downside. Oh, I get PLENTY of power out of them, don't let that stop you. You just have to get used to them.

I don't own this pedal, but I use it in my band Funeral Age, and they are really good. They are the most responsive pedals I have ever played on. The bad thing about them is that it takes a while to get used to them since they respond much faster than your average pedal.

I upgraded from a single chain DW5000 to this, and would never go back. There is no play, it does exactly what you want it to. It has its own feel that is great after just a bit of playing on it. I was wanting a double kick, but I can do all the tricks I need with just the single version. I did change the beater to a felt one, because the plastic was a little to hard for me. Would be great for metal though.
