There has never been another stand like this!

The Axis AX-VST Vortex Tripod Snare Drum Stand uses a low profile, replaceable "Snare Tripod Basket" that remains attached to the drum at all times. The basket has 3 telescoping rods with cylindrical nylon "Finger Pads" that securely grip the bottom hoop. Because of the sleek design, the drum and basket assembly can fit into standard cases and bottom heads can be changed easily. The stand adjusts from 17"-28" high.

Comments about Axis AX-VST Vortex Tripod Snare Drum Stand:

I have had the Axis AX-VST Vortex Tripod Snare Stand for about 3 years. I really like the lightweightfeature of this stand. It has been taken to concertsand bar gigs practice gigs and other on the go gigs. It has held up fine! Simple adjustments andquality are the hallmarks of this Stand. Super portable is a plus! If YOU are looking for a quality Snare Stand, you cannot go wrong with thisbaby!

Looks good at first but....

Comments about Axis AX-VST Vortex Tripod Snare Drum Stand:

I bought this as I like my Axis pedals and hi-hat. I found the basket to be VERY hard to use. The adjustments are difficult and there are NO instructions in the literature provided. In addition, you can only use one snare at a time as the basket has to be re-installed each time. Installing the basket was cumbersome and time consuming. My snare kept slipping down on the 'fingers' provided. Also the the wing nut that holds the basket to the stand rubbed against the snares when turned and the extra effort made it harder to use than a conventional stand. I did like the weight and the vortex styled base but the other difficulties with the snare basket made this basically un-useable and it had to be returned. Oh...and it's very expensive for what it is.
