OVERVIEW

Incredible force and velocity coupled with exacting precision.

Take direct control of your kick pedal with the Sabre A21 Double Pedal from Axis Percussion. The patented MicroTune Spring Tensioner mechanism allows ease of adjustment, as well as a much greater degree of precision and accuracy in fine scale tuning. The "slide tensioner" delivers resolution over 2-1/2 more precisely than before, and provides a greater tension range from Axis Percussion's extension springs. Now, spring adjustments are easy and fast.

All adjustments made topside. These pedals are available silver or classic black.

Comments about Axis Sabre A21 Double Bass Drum Pedal with Microtune Spring Tensioner:

Tried just about all pedals. This is the best for me. The Sabre A21 hits hard and solid, way better than the Axis A series. Used the trick pedal, could not stand it. I like the A21 better than the new DW direct drive as well. The Sabre A21 is lightwight, solid, fast. This is one you would want to consider if you are looking for a high end pedal.

Comments about Axis Sabre A21 Double Bass Drum Pedal with Microtune Spring Tensioner:

This non technical review is geared toward those who have never tried Axis.
I put off trying Axis because I had heard so many comments and warnings like "they're not for everyone" and "takes a while to get used to the feel". These pedals feel amazing. They are lighter than any others I've played BUT they are not freakishly light. There was no learning curve for me coming from Iron Cobras and Tricks.
The biggest improvement in my playing with the Sabre (and the A longboards) is I'm much more able to control patterns and bursts. They also feel great at ANY speed, they are not just for blazing speed or one style of music!
After 8 different brands and models over the last 4 years I have finally found my dream pedal. My only complaint, just personal preference, is I would prefer rubber gripping instead of velcro.

      Pros:
      effortless speed, easy to control
      superb craftmanship, brilliant design
      driveshaft (UDS)
      A21 design hits hard
      Microtune tensioners perform as advertized
some improvements in ease of adjustments from earlier models

      Cons:
      I don't like velcro, (whaaa)
