Recreates the sound and atmosphere found on jazz, blues, and big band stages and recordings.
The Bosphorus Master Series Crash Cymbal features a range of organic, dark, and buttery tones that recreate the historic vintage sound of early jazz, blues, and big-band music. This crash cymbal is completely handmade from the casting process through the final hammering. Not one hammer mark is made by a machine.
Second, the cymbal alloy is from an ancient formula passed down by first generation cymbal smiths which give this Bosphorus Crash Cymbal a soft, "played-in" feel. Finally, the Bosphorus Crash is much thinner than today's heavier weighted cymbals. Simply put, today's medium weight is much heavier than a medium weight cymbal in 1950. Another testimony to Bosphorus Cymbals' weight is the characteristic "ripple" made by the cymbal's edge when played.
- Completely handmade and hand-hammered
- Ancient alloy formula
Your search for that vintage feel and sound is over. Order this crash today.

other than price I think this cymbal is very good
This cymbal is perfect for lower volume gigs, the sound is very nice, warm, dark and somewhat washy. Opens up quick with short sustain, I use a Paiste Signature 16'' fast crash along with this and they blend very well together
made very well
a little costly but sounds better than a lot of cymbals in that price range to me
