I used these extensively while doing drums in the pit for my high schools autumn musical. They play like a dream! they are fairly light, but can give you such a huge range of tones it is almost overwhelming. I found myself enjoying even the songs where my only real job was to play a simple rock beat, as I could experiment with these cymbals and create a whole range of tones. Sadly, half way through the musical one of the bands at our school claimed the set of these that we had in the pit, and I had to switch to some mid-class Zildjians. There was no comparison; these are some of the best.
Nice wide range of sounds; not the run-of-the mill three sound hi-hat (Closed, open, in between)
The ones I have used belong to the school, meaning that they have to endure endless pounding from mediocre drummers. Despite this, they have lasted six years and are showing no signs of wear.
Very costly, but imo they are worth it. However, if you are on a budget these are not for you.
