this is the best drum rug I've had.Everything stays put and I have had no trouble with it wrinkling. The bolster for the bass drum works like a charm. I have gigged endlessly with this thing and it hasn't ripped or frayed. It is not very big and my cymbal stands don't all fit on it, but I never had trouble with the cymbal stands moving anyway. The bass drum (with mounted toms), the snare and especially the hi-hat were the components that always seemed to be drifting forward and since I have used this rug I have had none of those problems. One more thing, it is extremely light and foldable. If you are loading in and out all the time, that is important. I can just fold it up and toss it in the car. I don't have to deal with rolling up a heavy and stiff piece of rug or carpet and finding a place for it in my car when the gig ends at 2:00 A.M.

The Cannon Drum "Rug" is not rug in my book, it's simply a piece of felt with a 2 X 4 stapled to it. It has no backing on it at all. The only thing that stops sliding, is the weight of the drums & the player. If you have ever slid down the hall in your sock feet, you'll get the picture. The Cannon Drum Rug is great for that. It's too thin to prevent "stand spikes" from poking thru and doesn't have enough weight to it to even lay flat on the floor. If you only need something for home, maybe this product will suffice, but if you are gigging at all, I would just get an old piece of carpet and save your money. I can't imagine anyone buying this product, except like I did....online and unseen. I have learned my lesson!

I wasn't sure if I needed this rug to accompany a drum set I purchased for my husband, but he was happy to have it over a regular floor rug.

          .
Non slip rug? No way. It may be non slip if your floor is made of dirt but if its any other type of flooring forget it. I play in the basement on tile floor and it actually made it worse since the rubber feet of the base drum aren't touching the tile anymore. Very dissapointed.

          Caution before buying

I was very disappointed with this rug. It is only an expensive piece of felt that easily slides on hardwood floors. There is no rubber like backing and it is VERY thin. I'll be returning mine!

          Good Rug

Comments about Cannon Percussion Drum Rug:

This is a good rug. I had to put my drum set in the garage ever since we moved and regular carpet on the garage floor would skid like hell. This doesnt skid on the cement and everything stays in place. The only thing I have to complain about is the size. My hi-hat stand, cymbal stands, and throne dont quite fit on it, but that no big deal. Its a good rug and keeps my set from skidding all over the place.

          Overall good drumset

This is an awesome rug ,especially when your pounding away with a double bass pedal. This thing cannot be destroyed , it's unlike any other drum rug i have tried before. It keeps your drums there , stop your bass drum from moving (which used to be a problem with mine) with the bass drum stopper.I just wish it had some other feature if I am going to dish out for a rug. Overall I guess it's worth it. Buy it!

          waste of money

I'm not at all saying its a bad product, but what I am saying is that you can just get some carpet from a friend or family member or someone else you know for basicly nothing. I only gave it the ratings it got because instead of putting 60 dollars on a rug you could get for free.. you could put that 60 dollars to a new snare, or cymbal

i dont own one, but i have used them for live shows alot. it really doesnt do a good job of keeping your whole kit in place, the rug seems to stretch and move around a lot, leaving wrinkles and stretches. its definately not worth the price they sell it for. i think a regular thick rug that you can find at home would work better

          Drum Rug

Comments about Cannon Percussion Drum Rug:

The rug is good but if you have a big set and alot of cymbals its small but for a normal five piece set and 3 cymbals its good. I own a double bass pedal and there wasent enought room for a hi hat just a little room for it but my hi hat stand doesnt move anyway. So overall its pretty good

          doesn't work

          By coborop

Comments about Cannon Percussion Drum Rug:

The block at the end works at keeping your bass drum in place, but if you have any hardware that isn't entirely on the mat, such as a cymbal stand or rack tom stand, it's rubber will keep the stand in place and your bass drum will slide the whole mat forward along with you as you kick it, and you will have to pull the whole mat back and then fix the stands that got out of wack from the slide.
