Comments about Crush Drums & Percussion Alpha 5-Piece Drum Set with Cymbals:
I bought this set mainly for the price. I have no experience at playing the drums, but I needed a set for my music room and did not want to spend a lot of money.A drummer friend of mine told me about this set and said it was all I needed, and he was right. We put it together,He tuned them and I thought they sounded great, but he said the heads needed replaced,so I put a set of remo heads on them and again he was right.I thought the cymbals sounded alright, but I added some sabian cymbals and that made all the difference in the world. I would have know problem using this set on a gig, they play well, sound great and they are easy to set-up.So to sum-up this review, I would change the heads, add a better quality set of cymbals. and play my heart out.

Comments about Crush Drums & Percussion Alpha 5-Piece Drum Set with Cymbals:
Pros - This set is easy to setup for those with the know-how. For those new to drumming, Youtube will be your friend in helping you setup your kit. The build quality/workmanship compared to my prior Ludwig set, is about the same, but I paid a bit more for the Ludwig. The shells themselves look great. I bought the black sparkle with chrome hardware and love the look. The hardware it comes with works great also. There are memory locks on each cymbal stand and tom mount. It is pretty useful if you gig a lot and need to break your kit down, but don't want to lose your settings.
Cons - As with most entry level drum sets, the heads on these are not great compared to the Remo heads I've used before. I've managed to tune the heads, with a bit of time, close to my liking. New heads, I'm sure, would make this kit sing. But if you don't have the funds for new heads, a good tune and some muffling options would probably make it sound fine. While tuning the heads though, one or two of the lugs on each drum would be difficult to turn, so tuning them was a bit of a hassle. Now I wouldn't say the cymbal and hi-hats that came with this set are horrible, but they are definitely not to my liking. Luckily I have the Zildjians from my past Ludwig set, which weren't that great either, that are more to my liking. One last thing about this set is the bass drum pedal that it comes with. Not a solid pedal. It feels flimsy and just not that great to use.
Overall, a great kit for the money. With a little investments in some upgrades here and there, this can be an awesome drum set.

Comments about Crush Drums & Percussion Alpha 5-Piece Drum Set with Cymbals:
After weeks of comparing starter kits, I finally set on this Crush Alpha 5-Piece, and I must say, I am not disappointed one bit. Even though I am fairly new to drumming, I can say with complete confidence that this IS the kit that you will want to purchase if you are looking into learning to become a drummer. This set was an absolute breeze to set up, from opening the box to being fully set up, tuned, and playing took less than an hour. Note that I had no prior experience with any of that. The chrome hardware is beautifully shiny and all of the stands and hardware are heavy, high quality, and durable. Once set up and tuned to your liking, this set sounds great with the stock Crush cymbals and heads right out of the box. A pair of blank wooden drumsticks (I believe 5A) and a drum key are also included with the set, it does not come with a throne, but playing with an ordinary padded desk chair without arm rests or something similar will work just fine. Both pedals feel very smooth and can be adjusted easily to your own personal preference. This drum set has a ton of bang for your buck and I most definitely recommend it to all whom may be considering buying it.
Pros
- Right Size
Cons
- No Instruction Manual
- Terrible Stock Heads

Comments about Crush Drums & Percussion Alpha 5-Piece Drum Set with Cymbals:
Pretty good drum set, but it didnt have a manual and im a beginner. But i found a video on Youtube on how to set the kit up. It was a Ddrum video but same process. The heads might as well not be there. Luckily i ordered a pair of Remo Pinstripe heads so i just replaced the stock ones. Overall good BEGINNER set. If you're not a beginner, you can still get this set, just replace the heads, and probably get Studio Rings.

Comments about Crush Drums & Percussion Alpha 5-Piece Drum Set with Cymbals:
Drums are good for the price you pay. Don't expect a throne or bag of sticks though...called constumer service and was told it was a mistake in the add no reimbursement offered. Besides not being able to sit while I play the drums and hardware is decent and well priced.
