Constructed from 100% Ash with a wide tonal range and sharp attack.
The Crush Chameleon Ash 4-Piece Shell Pack offers the best of power and tone in a single drum. Ash wood produces clear punchy attack, wet and heavy tones and solid even lows. The Chameleon shell sizes have been specifically chosen to give the drummer a versatile drum set that can be played in any application. The set has been finished with a satin stain lacquer to insure that each drums full tonal potential is achieved.
The Chameleon Ash drums also feature Crush Drums and Percussions proprietary changeable colored lugs, which allows the drummer to customize their kit without having to remove the lugs from the shell. The drums also feature a Crush's proprietary 4-point suspension mounting system that supports the mounted toms from two lugs per side without the need for contact to the drum shell for stability, which ensures optimal and unrestricted resonance.
The toms feature heavy-duty, triple-flanged hoops and the snare uses Crush Drums and Percussions reverse flange 2.3mm hoops for added strength and projection. The mounted tom and floor tom leg brackets also features our integrated memory lock for perfect placement and added strength. The kick drum rests on ultra-durable spurs, with the redesigned bass drum claws feature a rubber grommet to protect your hoop from scratching.
Toms feature Remo Ambassador UT heads on batter side and Clear Remo Ambassador UT heads on Resonant side. Snare features Remo Coated Ambassador Head on Top and Remo Ambassador UT Snare side head. Bass Drum Features Remo Power Stroke Batter side with Remo Power Stroke Ebony Resonant side.
This shell pack also includes a free 10" mounted tom. Cymbals and hardware are sold separately.

I purchased this AMAZING chameleon ash kit to replace my old yamaha power v kit. I saw nothing but positive reviews on this kit so i decided that it was the one. I usually try out all gear in the store, but no one in my town had one, so I bought it. I bought it on a wednesday and the expected arrival day was the following tuesday. On Sunday I checked the order, and it still wasn't on the way! After a few minutes with customer service they upgraded my shipping for free and refunded a small portion. I got it on tuesday around 7 p.m. At first I was a little nervous, because there was a huge gouge in the box, but everything was okay. Upon setting up, I found a few thing wrong with it. There is a hole in the wood of the floor tom, right next to the bearing edge, it wasn't on the edge, so I figured it would be okay. Also on the bass drum bearing edge, some of the wood was chipped. After a few moments of light sanding, you couldn't even notice. Also the lugs were hard to get in the receiver. The memory locks are hard to get on and are bulky. They won't fit past the rim on the floor tom, and when i turn the legs on the bass and floor tom, it gouges on the drum, so you have to remember that. After getting it set up, I went tuning crazy. I tuned it up in about 10 minutes. The floor tom resonates for days and the bass is a cannon! I am extremely pleased with this Crush kit. After i had the kit for a few days, I was on the Crush website, and noticed that blue wasn't a finish. I contacted them, and it turns out that blue is a Musicians Friend exclusive color. I took it to my church and played for youth group, and when I got home, I noticed that some of the stain came off on my bass pedal (not the beater), and realized that there was no clear coat of protecting finish, which bummed me out. Crush upgraded some things that aren't mentioned. The snare has ten lugs with brass snares and the batter heads are Remo pinstripes. Anyways, this kit is a dream come true! The blue looks way better in person, and the hole kit sounds amazing
