Comments about Ddrum DD BETA Electronic Drum Kit:

I'm a professional drummer. 30+ year vet. I purchased this kit just to satisfy a curiosity Now I use it for just about everything. The only time I don't use it is when I just need more Toms. Other than that, I use it all the time. I play for my church, stage plays and all other live performances. I use a very nice speaker system when playing at church and for outdoor and large auditorums and condert halls, I use my speaker as a monitor and just patch the kit through the house system or the artists PA system and it sounds as if I'm playing a $4000.00 kit. The sounds are great, the presets are great, the kick is heavy and powerful, the snare is crisp and clean, the hi-hats are crisp and snappy, the two chokable cymbals are wide and precise and the toms are hard hitting and moving. I HIGHLY recommend this kit to all drummers, both begginers as well as seasoned professions. You'll be very, very well pleased. The kit is so under priced for the quality built in. The mounting rack is strong and sturdy. It will not fall apart on you. Get one before they raise the price to it real worth.

Comments about Ddrum DD BETA Electronic Drum Kit:

It's a nice kit for the price but, even so,it should at least have a common, basic rim shot sound. Most songs have Rim Shot sounds in them. The developer MUST be strictly a Rock, Acid, Metal Genre drummer where the rim shot is unheard of. I REALLY like the sounds it has though. I'm just really disappointed about the rim shot thing.I just can't believe an electric kit was deleloped without it.

Comments about Ddrum DD BETA Electronic Drum Kit:

I bought this because I am limited on space in my college apartment and I need to practice for my band. Overall, I am happy with it for only paying the price I did. It has a nice sound and a nice feel. It does seem to lag a little. My biggest complaint though is the instructions to set it up. They were almost worthless and very very short in detail. I would recommend this kit for those who need something to practice on and are limited on space.

    All good but the pedals

Comments about Ddrum DD BETA Electronic Drum Kit:

I'm an experienced musician, although admittedly not a drummer. I got these drums to record in my home studio and for the most part they should fit the bill. The sounds are good for my purposes. I'm sure there are better modules with better sounds but they are going to be at least twice the price. What really stops me from rating these higher is the kick drum trigger. To say it is unreliable is an understatement. This thing has a mind of it's own. So much so, I have to record drum tracks without kick drum and add it later using a keyboard. It's THAT unreliable. I contacted Ddrum and was told they will be offering an upgrade to a different pad soon. While I'm looking forward to that, It is unfortunate that I have to pay for an upgrade just so I can play the whole set. If the kick worked, I would rate these a whole lot higher.

Santa brought this for my 3 yr old & 6 yr old grandchildren & my son-in-law who all had a drum-set on their Christmas list. My daughter is relieved to know that the only noise she hears from the kit is the sound of popcorn popping while someone is playing. Great learning/practice tool for new & experienced drummers.

Comments about Ddrum DD BETA Electronic Drum Kit:

For the beginner this drum set will help you develop your technique such as your timing, rolls, kicks, strike, fills , flam stokes and so on,,,,, You'll become rudiment Kings and Queens,, "awesome I say."
As for me I use this ddrum-KIT as a triggering, live midi I/O device to my MPC's and DAW applications, specialize drum software and vst plugins, Use Midi software GM routing to get your basic pad mapping. And in specialized ddrum apps you can LEARN( "assign" ) each of your drum pads to your the choice what ever drum sound you want. As for MPC you can learn , edit , add vst effects and customize the sound of your ddrum-set ,any way you feel in the grove to do, such as add echo , delay ,ping pong, reverb, and even audio sampled sounds to each pad ,ect ,ect, ect, The DDRUM SET for me is an excellent choice for home and studio. About me: I am a 35+ years as a musician, producer, radio broadcast tech which means quality highly important to me and I say "awesome for the DDRUM set...
