Another flavor of percussive expression is within your grasp.

ddrum's Deccabon drums are 6" in diameter and tuned to represent specific notes in the scale, as each varies in depth. But rather than simply providing the eight notes in a given octave, ddrum has expanded the scale by offering depths from 6" to 24", for more tonal variation and control.

This set includes 18" and 24" black fiberglass Deccabons with a double-braced stand for additional voicings around the kit, tuned melodic passages, or just the right amount of mayhem to make a proper statement.

      Comments about ddrum Deccabons:

I am a guitarist and I bought these for my son the drummer to extend the range of his kit. He is a big Stewart Copeland fan and wanted some octabans, but I'm not forking out for Tamas just yet. Overall these are nice drums. The included stand is sturdy, allows varied positioning, and it has place to mount a second stand in a stacked formation. The remaining hardware appears sufficient. The stock heads are pretty poor and flakes off coating as others have stated, but they are good enough to make sound. I guess ddrum figures most drummers will replace with the heads of their choice anyway. Sound is great, even with the stock heads. Also the kit includes a tuning wrench and a pair of no-name sticks. These are much cheaper than octabans, and with good heads and tuning they should sound just as good. I plan to purchase more sizes soon.

      Comments about ddrum Deccabons:

I just got the 14,16,18 and 20" deccabons. DDrum total changed the design of these.(without any prior notice) they are NOW flat black raw fiberglass. and the lugs are different. they also now say diablo on the badges. not what I was excpecting, being the photos on here are totaly different. but, they still sound awsome. I can get used to the new flat black finish. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you love Octobans (Tama), you will love these!

      Comments about ddrum Deccabons:

I own the complete 10 piece set of these beauties. I was interested in the Tama Octobans, but just found them too costly. These bar FAR are the best value for the money. I only recommend replacing the original coated heads. I used Evans EC2's on all mine and they sound fantastic. Owning the whole set, if you are looking for the classic octoban sound, I would say to skip the 6 and 8 inchers. They don't have a long enough tube to get that sound. They do make a great "special effects" sound if you choose to go that route. You cannot go wrong with these drums. They are a super addition to any set you may have, the finish is beautiful, the hardware is excellent and sound right on. Cheers and good luck!!
