Get ready to march into the punk rock battlefield and cry havoc.
Ddrum has heard the call from the drummers of the underground and has created the Diablo Combat Punx Drum Set. High-energy performance demands gear that can take a beating and still deliver the goods. In creating the Combat Punx, Diablo's latest addition, ddrum wanted to make a drum kit with a finish so durable that it could stand up to the most heinous abuse. That is why ddrum has taken military-grade camouflage canvas, and heat-sealed it to Diablo's 9-ply basswood shell. The covering is stitched at the seam to prevent separation, and bonded to the shell with heat and pressure to prevent warping; making it one of the most durable finishes in existence.
Upgrades like a 20"x22" kick drum with Maple hoops, a 15-ply, 7"x14" snare drum, and the choice of three coverings are standard equipment.
22" x 20" bass
12" x 8" mounted tom
14" x 14" and 16" x 14" floor toms
15-ply 7" x 14" snare
Agenda 200 Pro hardware includes:
Straight cymbal stand
Boom cymbal stand
Hat stand cymbal stand
Bass drum pedal

This is an awesome kit for the price! The snare has a tight, snappy sound, the toms sound amazing and the bass hits like a cannon. I'm not crazy about the hi tom mounting arm, but it seems to do the job so far. The only realy negative about this kit is the hardware that comes with it. The cymbal stands are absolute crap, the bass pedal isn't nearly as adjustable as they claim and the high hat stand legs cant be rotated to acomidate a double bass pedal, so all those items are going on sale with my old kit. If your thinking about buying this as a replacement kit and already have good hardwear, do it. If not the low price tag should leave some cash to get some good stuff. Oh and I bought it for $599 in June, it went to 349 in July and Musiciansfriend refunded the difference in like 5 minutes.
ddrum Diablo Combat Punx 5 Piece Drum Set Red Plaid-A great little kit for the money! Just got mine and it has just about everything you need to get up and running, including a drum key and pair of sticks! (You'll still need a throne and a cymbal package)Fantastic value! Everything seems to be put together well, including the stands. You can't expect super heavy duty equipment at this price, but it is more than adequate for my regular use. The plaid finish is currently cheaper than the Camo Combat Punx kits and has all the SAME stuff. I can safely say you won't be disappointed ordering one of these for yourself unless you're Lars, of course.
At first glance I thought "Now that is cool." but upon closer inspection I noticed that the stripes in the plaid are not sraight and they even bend. I majored in Art in college and this one imperfection would drive me insane. This is one kit NOT for a perfectionist or a person living w/ OCD.And why does this kit cost $50 less than the Camo kits?? In the description they say "That is why ddrum has taken military-grade camouflage canvas". IT'S NOT CAMO! They didnt even correct the change in the description. Another case of Click & Paste Syndrome I guess. If this is made from same "military-grade (camouflage) canvas" then why the price gap??It still looks cool though, from a distance.
