First off, realize that this set can not sound professional no matter how much you put into it. you can make it sound decent, but that's about it.I bought this drumset because it was cheap, and cool looking. I needed another set that was cheap that i could gig with, and not worry about destroying it.If your looking for better sound, you're going to have to work for it. First of all, don't order this without ordering new heads also. On the toms i put evans hydraulics, an evans super tough (st) snare head, and emad and emad 2 bass drum heads. I'll start with the great things about this set.. The bass drum - with evans emad heads (batter and resonant), this bass drum sounds great. It's a cannon. The heads that come with it suck, i broke mine in a couple weeks. The Small Tom - it also sounds great, as long as you put a new batter head on it. I used the evans hydraulic... which looks awesome too because it's black. You can get a fairly deep sound out of the small tom, but it sounds best in the mid range.Price - it doesn't matter if you beat the crap out of these. you didn't pay much for them. The BAD.......... -you'll need new heads-hardware on cymbal stands WILL eventually strip out. I promise. mine started last week.-the floor toms are a bit difficult. you can get them to sound OK... but don't expect anything amazing.-the snare drum sucks. there's a groove in the shell under where the snares go. i don't know why they make it that way, but you need to sand it down, and then tune your snare as tight as you can possibly get it. then you have an ALMOST decent snare.-the hoops on the bass drum suck. mine aren't quite round.. which makes for a pain when assembling the drum.OVERALL-Look, i knew that I would get what i paid for. Be prepaired.. it's not going to be pretty at first.. but you can make them work nicely as an amature gigging set. I'm happy with mine.............. for now.

This drum set is very nice looking but the weird sizes are very hard to tune. the hardware is really messed up and breaks all the time. I have broken 3 snare lugs from just playing and I've broken the snare stand from just playing. Also the snare stand is a tallish stand but the hi hat stand is very short, so its hard to get it to a comfortable spot. The floor tom legs are really short so again it very hard to get the snare and in a good spot with everything else. The bottom head of the snare broke the day I got the drum set and then the accuatal snare broke and I had to gut an old snare just so this one would work. the pedal isn't very good and the beater broke after three weeks. the olny good hardware are the strait stand and the boom stand. the drums them selves dont sound good except the bass drum, which is the high light of the kit. i wouldnt waste your money on this kit, save up and but a tama kit, there solid and sound so much better.

I bought this ddrum set two years ago. The hardware falls apart. YOu can never get the ring out of that snare. The snare stand is way to tall. This product has issues and i recommend a pearl or gretchs, cause they have a good solid beat and is good for beginner. I wasted $ and i hope you guys don't do the same.
The bass on this drum is amazing. I bought a Double bass Iron Cobra for it and new remo heads and it was good to go. Its a crazy set
Bass drum rocks, perfect for band practice even if your guitarists are deaf. The toms are decent, not alot of volume. But they do sound fine when miked. The wrap was applied well but I does have a cheap look to it. I would purchase this kit again.
ok, so yes this set is good, but one thing you might want to do when you first get it is change the heads; the stock heads have a ring to them and hold that too long.another thing i did was got another tom for this just because i wasn't diggin the 2 floor and one mounted.but really the only thing you need to do is change the heads besides that, it is a very good set to start with cheap and good quality.oh and i love the bass drum on this set it creats just a loud thud to a bang.
The hardware was decent at best and I replaced the snare with a Spaun to match the greatest bass I've ever played. I put an Aquarian Super-Kick 2 on the bass and it's perfect. Wrapping on the toms, snare and bass is sub-par. The bass saved the whole set.
This set is incredible for the price and I am happy I bought it the heads dont last very long but its still great.
i been playing drums for a while and know how a good set is supposed to sound, the snare sounds awesome when tuned high, itll give u a nice high pitched crack, the tom heads suck so i put aquarian rings on 'em and they sound pretty descent, the bass drum is the best! i put a pillow in it and tuned it high resulting in a beatiful crunchy boom...overall its a great set to experiment on...
I used it today. The finish is beautiful especially the white. The sound and ease of hitting the toms is amazing for the price I would say worth it I'm definitely going to get a pair of these.
Ok, so first thing is first, this kit is absolutely amazing. The pictures didn't do it justice. When you see it in person, it sparkles and pops like crazy. For the price this is the highest quality kit you could get. First thing I did with this kit was to record a live solo for a TV commercial. Let me tell you, even with the stock heads, the kit sounded phenomenal. Now I would suggest that you get replacement heads. I now use Remo Pinstripe which make this kit sound like a high quality Pearl Export or something. Overall I am very pleased. This is a great buy.
I have about a year with this kit, to tell you the truth, the first time I played it I didn't think it was the right choice, with a little change of heads it sounds phenomenal. The snare sounds full and crisp, the toms have the warm punch sound to them (that I love) and the bass drum... OHHH the bass drum: love at first kick. Such a deep, full sound as if someone was punching my heart :) Get this kit if you're on a budget, get this kit even if you're not on a budget, you'll fall in love :D
