I bought this kit/ snare and bought the 10x8 tom to go with it...with Remo Emperor clears for batters on toms, power stroke 3 clear kick batter and pwrstrk3 ebony on the front/one 6" chrome holz in the center, coated pwrstrk3 on the snares and ambassadors snare heads....this kit sounds better than most of those kits out that are signed...i love this kit. ive toured with it, too...great. the sound guys have never had any kind of trouble with my kit....
I bought this set earlier this year and have never been more happy about it. Sure, when you first get it, the heads and hi hat stand stink. But with new heads and stands over time, it gets way better with age. Everyshow I played with it and used to record with it, I've always had compliments about how great they sound. People are always shocked by how much I only spent on it though. It's defenitly a great set to buy whether a new drummer or more experianced.
Purchased the ddrum diablo for the price, and was impressed by the kick drum right away. I put some remo rings on the two floor toms and the tom tom and got a great sound out of them. Nice low tones and all mic'd up coming through some sub's they sound great so overall I am very happy with them and I'm looking forwrd to purchasing the new Ddrum camo kit soon!
I have always been intrigued with the look and sizes that ddrum has to offer. I bought this kit for christmas (basically a present for my self) The kick drum just sounds amazing...alot of punch and boom. The rack tom has good tone and the floor toms have sort of a tribal sound...really low.The snare...has alot of crack and pop to it. Don't bag on ddrum. You just need to learn how to tune and pull sound from the drum. Overall...This is an amazing kit. I also reccommend new heads.
