AMX shells bridge the gap between tonal opulence and needed attack.
ddrum's Dominion AMX snare drum shells represent the fusion of multiple elements to create singularly impeccable drum shells, combining the warmth and clarity of maple with the punch and striking visual appearance of ash. Lacquer finishes reveal the stunning grain of the ash outer shell with unbridled brilliance. Die-cast hoops are featured on every drum for extra sonic cut and durability. All of these ingredients come together to form a snare drum that is as at home on stage as it is in a recording studio.

I just got this drum today. I have played on cleavlander Snare drums which are several thousand dollars. Cleavlander's got nothing on this. This is the best snare Ive played on. I also have an Orange County X series which is very nice, but just doesnt have that same resonant boom. this snare is wonderful for dynamics. I popped an Remo Ambassador batter head and an Evans 300 snare side. It sounds amazing now
I got this snare drum today i changed out the heads first thing, I put a remo powerstroke 3 clear dot on top and an evans 300 hazey on the bottom. And this is one of the best sounding snare drums i have ever played. I've been playing a 1940's Slingerland Radio King 7 x 14 single ply maple shell for the last 26 years. And this snare plays just as good. I think it's time to put the slingerland up and use it as a show piece now. For the money you can not beat this snare.
