Drumdial

This product will ensure a natural tone and a longer life for your drum shells.

The Bearing Edge Conditioner from DrumDial strengthens and conditions the top of the bearing edge where it contacts the drum head. Solid stick, comes in an easy to use twist tube for a no mess application. This is not a wax, soap or a petroleum product. It allows the drum head to glide smoothly over the bearing edge without effecting the sound of the drum. Waxes, soaps and petroleum products (ski wax etc.) deaden the drum head and effect the natural sound of the drum. Made from a proprietary blend of extreme high pressure lubricants and conditioners.

Drumdial designed this product specifically for drums. Research, development and product testing over many years, have produced the best bearing edge conditioner available. Drumdial Bearing Edge Conditioner will not harm wood, plastics or metal.

Comments about Drumdial Bearing Edge Conditioner:

My original review was premature. I put new heads on the drums using the BEC first. When I changed those heads months later, however, the DrumDial had become goopy and sticky. It didn't hurt the drum, but goopy and stick is the OPPOSITE of what the stuff is supposed to do.

This stuff does what is says (watch the video on YouTube). One tube of it will last you the rest of your life. Whenever you change a head, just run this stuff around the bearing edge and rub it in with your finger. After the Mylar/epoxy stretches in the flesh hoop, you won't hear any more crackling - the head slides smoothly over the bearing edge. Does it make is sound better? I don't know, but something seems "right" about a slick bearing edge.

Comments about Drumdial Bearing Edge Conditioner:

The Drum Dial Bearing Edge Conditioner is very useful. Just apply along the bearing edge when changing heads. This eliminates the "popping" and "cracking" you normally hear when tightening the heads. You just use a very small amount so 5 his little tube can last a long time. You can also place some on the tips of tension rods to lube them up and they work much smoother. I highly recommend it to anyone novice to pro.
