I have'nt played in a very long time. I have a ddrum 5 piece I bought used,that came with a stock pedal, that seemed to be more for looks than function. It is tuff to play but I did quite well with it. Like anybody trying to improve, you want better gear to work with and this DW kick pedal is above and beyond any expectations I had! The feel is smooth and gets rite to the point. I like fat, meaty, bass drum feel.Really busy when needed, and the pedal shows up everytime. With my ability at this stage,the pedal is waiting on me for sure. Great sensitivity! What ever level you are playing at, you 'CANT' go wrong! This is a "Super Great" product at a"Super Great" price!!! Rock On!!!

I got this as a replacement of the stock Mapex pedal that came with my Pro-M kit a few years ago. I love it. It is responsive, just the right weight. Easy to play fast, heel up or down. Double sided beater is nice I suppose, although I'll never use anything other than the felt side. Adjustments are easy enough to perform. Comes with 2 sizes of allen keys for the various locks/memory locks. That part is a little annoying, since there is no on-board place to store them. There is a nifty on-board drum-key holder. All in all, I'm quite happy with my purchase, and would def buy it again. For me, no need to pay more for the higher end models that are infinitely adjustable. This one fits the bill just fine and was set up near-perfect right out of the box.

I've had this pedal for a little over 2 years. It worked really well at first and I thought the price of the pedal was a steal. I initially got it because of the bearing plate that holds the foot of the pedal to the base which I thought was really cool. The plate however, is where the pedal really dissapointed me. In the two years that I've had the pedal, the metal plate has ripped straight off the rest of the pedal twice. This pretty much made the pedal unusable. I really liked this kick pedal when I first got it, but the fact that's it's broken on me twice makes it hard to reccommend. I guess you get what you pay for...

This is the best pedal that I have ever played (I've been drumming for 40 years). Very responsive, sturdy, great adjustment features, and easy setup. I could not justify purchasing the high-end DW pedal (due to price), but at this price-point, the DW3000 is a no-brainer. I highly recommend it.

This is a quality, well built pedal. Great attack and responsiveness for speed. My only wish is that the acutal foot pedal was a bit longer.

I bought two of these at Guitar Center because I was tired of the cheap pedals that came with my drum kit. I've been looking at the Iron Cobra Jr, but GC was out of those. :( Anyway, I played with these on a digital drum set and I was really impressed. Brought home two of them and put them on my kit.. WOW! What a difference!!! "Solid" kick sound on both of my drums. I L-O-V-E them! Best $200 I ever spent! I Highly recommend this pedal for anyone. Beginner up to pro! DW 2000 are same pedal, except they are only a single chain. For the extra $20, you want the double chain on this model!

I have had these pedals for 2 days now and they are the best pedl I have played on, I have been playing drums for 27 years and I have played on tama iron cobras, and pearl eliminator pedals, but these pedals take the cake, they are smooth and very responsive. The price is great to. Great job DW!

This is a solid kick pedal. I was surprised at how responsive, adjustable, and well built this kick pedal is. I was expecting a "cheepy" pedal just to get the job done for a recording, but I continue to be surprised at how well this pedal performs! I'm a drummer of 20 years and can honestly say this pedal performs better than some of the pedals I've purchased for twice the cost.
