So Sweet!

Features:

I just got this pedal a few weeks ago and I really like it, I have been toying around with all the adjustments and wow what a difference it makes compare to my old pedals. These pedals come with everything you need to fine tune it to your own liking.

Quality:

When DW stated that this was the drummers choice, they were definitely telling the truth, these pedal are heavy duty but well constructed and their awesome!

Value:

Well to get a geat pedal you have to spend a little more for them and it was worth it!

Overall:

I have had 2 other double bass pedals over the years and they did what I thought was needed at the time. I have had my eyes on these babies for several years now and finally decided to go ahead and treat myself to one of the best pedals made. It took a few times playing with them to get use to them and to tweek the adjustments to what I wanted, now that I have finally gotten comfortable with them and gotten the feel just right, man they are so smooth and so sweet. On the old pedals you couldn't get the action on the foot pedal in the correct location and had to really work to get it but with these babies everything seems so easy. I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger and made the choice to purchase the DW 5002 series, I know there are some unexspensive pedals out there that do pretty good and there are a couple other pedals out there that other drumers may like beside these babies but I tell you what, if your looking for a pedal that you need better and faster action without making you work harder to get it, well I'll leave that up to you!

Great Kicks!

Features:

Completely customizable for you individual and unique style of play!

Quality:

I gave this a 9/10 simply for the fact that while the plastic is durable, it is still plastic and it worries me in terms of longevity.  However, for right now, they are great!

Value:

I thought that these were fairly expensive but when I compared them to their competitors, I found that they were decently placed in the quality to dollar amount ratio.  I give them a 10/10.

Overall:

I haven't really had a chance to play on a ful drum set as it hasn't arrived yet but I have had a chance to test them on a mesh practice pad I made a while back and they respond nicely.  Again, the 9/10 is only for the plastic but other than that I would recommend these kicks to anyone of any skill level or playing style.  Well done DW, well done.

Not Worth The Money

| Review By: Yuxuan Lin | 5 months, 3 weeks ago

Features:

It has all the standard features of a double bass pedal plus some extra boost from "USA engineering".

Quality:

Can't lie, this pedals are of amazing quality, cast iron makes it extremely solid, one of the things that make this pedal so unique is its "solidity".

Value:

MEH, with the money you can get Iron Cobras and Falcons which has tons more features for the same price.

Overall:

Sorry to offend everybody out there but these pedals are not worth the money. They are awesome pedals, but they are just not special at all. With the money, get Iron Cobras and Falcons, in my opinion these pedals feel too heavy no matter what tension it is tightened too.

Cool Pedal

| Review By: David Todor | 8 months, 3 weeks ago

Features:

This pedal is great. I could think of a few other things that can make the design better (convertable to long-board, adjustable cams, direct drive option), but other then that, it feels awesome.

Quality:

Built like a tank. I doublt I will see this pedal breaking in my lifetime.

Value:

I gave it a 7 because it's the most expensive pedal in its class. In canada, this pedal is more expensive then the Tama Iron/Speed Cobra, Pearl Eliminator, and other pedals it competes with. For some reason, you pay a premium to own this pedal.

Overall:

I have been looking for a double kick pedal for a long time. I owned iron cobras (which were great, but I sold them with an old kit), I tried out the speed cobras (which didn't feel that great for me), I also tried out a bunch of pedals at the music store, and this pedal felt great! I walked in the store expecting to buy the speed cobras or iron cobras, but this pedal was just awesome when I tried it out. I suggest you try out a range of pedals when you want to buy your next double kicks.

I made a mistake buying this pedal

Overall:
I play DW's and ""assumed"" the pedals would be as good as the drums, quality wise. 1st night the screws fell out, Tightened down really good and it happened again and again to where you only have one pedal to use. The batter keeps slipping forward to where the is minimal clearance between the head and batter. Adjust again, and again. These are as high maintainenec as my old girlfriend.Buy the Tama Iron Cobra and be done with the hassel.
