Recieved my 5300 and went straight from the Box to Stage! I use a Custom Steam Bent Snare that weighs about 25lbs. No wobble, just a FIRM Stance! All Adjustments are AWESOME! You CAN NOT go wrong with THIS one!

          Very Average Snare Stand

          By Tom Schmidt

          from San Francisco

Comments about DW 5300 Snare Drum Stand:

This is not an impressive snare stand, though if you're not picky about your snare location it might get the job done for you. Most annoying is the old-style drum adjustment. Instead of using a ball-like joint - which is ubiquitous today - DW opted for the old-school straight joint with teeth. Forward and back, that's the limit of adjustment on this bad boy. Also, no memory lock on the bottom tripod like most other DW stands.I use it at home as a stand for the snare drum I practice brushes on. It's just a snare drum, not a kit - which is the only place I'd use this. stand

          The Very Best

Comments about DW 5300 Snare Drum Stand:

I bought this stand along with a cymbal stand from this same series and I was very impressed. I was blown away with the quality of these products. I love DW and I knew they would be great, but these stands exceded my expectations. I was more impressed by the snare stand than the cymbal stand because it was so awesome. The cymbal stand was also amazing, but the snare stand is even better. For starters, this stand is incredibly beefy. It's very heavy and has absolutly no woble. When I play, it feels like my snare is bolted to the floor. That's how firm this is. It's great. Way heavy, and heavy duty. Enough to take anything you can through at it. I find that it is perfect as far as snare stands go. It also has the advantages of thick rubber feet(which are incredible) and a memory lock. If you're looking for good hardware, Remember that you get what you pay for. And if you want something that will last, pay the extra money and get this stand. Why buy a bunch of cheap stands when you can buy this stand and have a quality product that will last forever. Don't waste your time, buy this stand first. You won't regret the decision.

          Too Tall

          By sexygirldrummer84

Comments about DW 5300 Snare Drum Stand:

I just got this stand a few weeks ago and it is awesome except for one thing, it doesn't go low enough. I have a 7 x 14 snare and I play a little low anyway and I had to cut the tubes down so it will go low enough. You have to pull the clamp collar off and then pound it back in which takes some doing. But now that it is low enough it works perfectly!

          DW does it again!

          By Ryan K-lMUVs

Comments about DW 5300 Snare Drum Stand:

This is a great product, I bought this to replace my old Rogers snare stand which snapped in half at the weld. I won't have to worry about that happening again because this stand is the real deal! Very sturdy and it goes great with the rest of my DW hardware. I like how the basket tightener is made of solid metal unlike most stands where it is plastic. As for adjustibility the possibilities seem endless. I play double bass and this fits snuggly in between my pedals. My only gripe is how long it took to ship. It was about 4 days before my order even shipped and only this stand came. I am still waiting for my new heads so the kit is useless until I have those. Besides the shipping issues, great product DW! Hands down 5 stars, I would recommend this for beginners to experts.

          Heavy duty stand; Mini-mouse parts

          By Steve C.-9VKG1

          from Rockford, IL, USA

Comments about DW 5300 Snare Drum Stand:

This was a great stand for a total of four months. Went to play a gig last night and I couldn't get the height adjustment to hold. Turns out either the screw or wing nut that tightens the plastic sleeves which grip the tube is stripped. I never change the height adjustment on this stand so it just sort of failed on it's own from a static position. This is not the first piece of DW hardware to strip on me with very little use on it. I also bought a DW Dogbone arm and in a matter of days one of the wing nuts was stripped. Plus that neat memory lock on the snare stand lost its small bolt/screw, and I had that tightened pretty well, and now it's gone. I'll be heading to the hardware store to fix this mess. Unbelievable. I am done with DW hardware, but I will say they make great drums.
