This DW Performance Series Tom Pack includes DW's proprietary 8-ply HVX 10" and 12" toms and 16" floor tom, while the snare drum features 10-ply HVX construction. Includes 10" x 8" and 12" x 9" toms, 14" x 12" floor tom, and 14" x 5.5" snare.
North American Rock Maple HVX proprietary shells provide warm, projecting sound with deep, punchy fundamental tones. F.A.S.T. sized tom shells are optimized for superior sonic performance in the stage and studio. Major Quality at a reasonable price. Even the heads are of good quality . The shells are very responsive and yeap... they are maple and rock Hard Maple at that .
Your buying a shell. Not a solid guitar, not a foot pedal nor a DVD player.
There are so many "Drum Companies" that to find a quality product is in itself a task for anyone . Looking at the boxes they are shipped in or inside the shell and many say "Made in China".
Now , I'm not against the Free Trade that's going on between US and China but just look at the difference in build. That should say it all .
Pros and kids alike would stay with DW and especially the kids would continue with drumming as opposed to "I like it now", and a year later they want to try another set. The point I'm trying to make is that for drums get something of quality , they might stay with it for life .
These are an excellent set of drums and at a fair price . I give it a five star rating . What's better a shiny stone or a real diamond ?
