I have kept these drum heads in my wish list to make it easier to order them in the future when that time comes. I will very likely use the same heads again
I'm very pleased with the Evans EC2 SST Clear Drumhead Pack. I like the rings around the edges of the heads. These heads project far better than the stock heads and are a lot easier to tune. I used a drum dial to help me tune them but I hardly think I needed to. My drums now have a much better tone and project through the music far easier and much clearer.
I suspect these heads will be very durable. I replaced my stock 12", 13", and 16" floor tom Ludwig heads with these new ones and the difference in the sound is amazing (I have birch shells). I bought these to go along with the EMAD2 bass drum head I use. I should replace the stock resonant heads as well, I suppose.
The price I paid for these was a very good value for what I got. Easily worth the $ I paid for them.

Overall this is a great product. If you can get past the price, which honestly isn't too horrible, then you will get an excellent sounding, reliable product.
The control ring on these heads really help get rid of those nasty over tones. I'm playing on them with out resos and they are thunderous. They have a deep, punchy tone with perfect attack and response.
Looks and sounds great. I was amazed at how well they made my drumset sound. These heads can give even the cheapest set a decent sound.
A little pricy, but totally worth it. I'm not sure how long they will last because I just put them on not too long ago. But hopefully they hold out for a while.

Comments about Evans EC2 SST Clear Drumhead Pack:
Put these on my cheap O practice set that our drummer uses for rehersals at my house. Man did they make a BIG difference for the better in the tone of the set! I've got'em all the way around now & won't use anything else again.

Comments about Evans EC2 SST Clear Drumhead Pack:
I bought two of these because I wasn't sure if it came with one or two heads for each size. I did the right thing because it did come with one each size. Aside from that, absolutely no complaints, I love the sound, the feel, and the look. They are the best heads I've had yet.

Comments about Evans EC2 SST Clear Drumhead Pack:
This is the perfect head for a cheap drum set. I keep a pulse kit at home for practice and leave my Gretsch set up where we meet for rehearsal. I chose these heads hoping to tame the array of blundering overtones and weak fundamental that poplar drums are known for. Honestly, these heads exceeded my initial expectations. I took the Pulse to rehearsal for giggles, and not only was it passable, but it was enjoyable. Big, full, tonal, with plenty of attack and projection. Sounded like a kit costing twice as much. Everyone commented on it. Suffice it to say, I would gig with it sounding this good. The dampening rings provide the perfect amount of control over the sound. My Gretsch is maple and more refined, but this is proof once again that the right heads for the right drums is the bigger part of the equation. Coincidently, the stock Pulse resos are still there. I can only imagine what these sound like on a quality drum set instead of a pulse kit. You can't go wrong. A little pricey but I don't regret the purchase at all considering the trasformation acheived. Good job Evans.

Comments about Evans EC2 SST Clear Drumhead Pack:
It is a good head, I have 10, 12, and 14 inch toms, and the sound they produced was the expected. I don't have to muffle the toms or use rings to control the sound. These EC2s make the natural rich sound I wanted. I played an outdoor gig and they sounded awesome! The only thing, is that the 10inch head got some small little dents that are almost not visible...and it only happened on the 10 inch. It still resonates well, but for the durability advertised, it was not my expectations.
Comments about Evans EC2 SST Clear Drumhead Pack:
I am pleased with my purchase of the EC2 SST Clear Drumhead Pack. I like the way that these heads make my toms sound. I recently switched out the factory Tama tom heads (original when the kit was bought new 1 year ago) as they were definitely dead-sounding. These new heads have nice attack with a warm sound that favors the low end. The rings on each head seem to effectively remove the high end overtones well.
Comments about Evans EC2 SST Clear Drumhead Pack:
Just a recap, totally awesome!
I love these heads and here is why, they are inbetween a heavily dampened head like aquarian or the evans hydrolics. It is tone focused and oriented, but more lively and bright than a traditoinal dampened head. I change my heads once a year, and this standard package sale, was just the incentive I needed. I pair the ec2 batter with the ec resonate. I use a drum dial for accuracy, and usually tune the bottom head at 72, and the batter head at 70. They sound great, and the feel really good to my hands. Overall, I love these heads and will def buy again, unless Evans comes out with an even better head. Great work to the people at Evans.
These hold up, but need to be changed, for me every year. I practice at least two hours a day, and they need changing, however they hold up extremly well.
Great sale, These are normally expensive, but this package deal was just the incentive I needed.
