Upgrade your kit with new heads.

The Evans EMAD 5-Piece Drumhead Pack includes a set of 12"/13"/16" G2 clear tom heads, a 14" SD Dry snare head and a 22" EMAD bass drum head. The G2 tom heads are double-plied for a full, meaty tone that combines a satisfying blend of attack and warmth, plus they're very durable. The SD Dry 14" coated snare head provides all the articulation and dynamics of a single-ply head, while controlling overtones and offering the durability of a double-ply drumhead. The now legendary EMAD bass drum head has become the standard for both studio and live performance. Its unique active dampening system allows you to control the desired amount of overtones from your drum throne by adjusting the batter side external tone ring. Simply remove the ring for more overtones (a more "live" sound) or keep it in for a more thuddy bass drum timbre.

Freshen up your kit sound. Order today.

I recently decided to experiment by changing up my normal purchasing habit and trying these instead of my typical REMO purchase. I bought this package set along with the EMAD bass drum resonant head. After installing and playing, I am completely enamoured with the transformation. I didn't realize that such tone was hidden in my kit. The bass drum sounds very deep with no overtones. It sounds very pleasant and professional.

As for the heads, I have grown accustomed to really "working" a drum/drums to capitalize on them tonally. These Evans heads sound wonderful. I can play at high or low volume and the tone is very forward. I found the snare head to be interresting with systematic pin hole perforations around the entire head about an inch from the inside of the rim. The snare sounds great! Not only do I get the snare sound, but the tone of the snare head is also reasonably pronounced.

I would describe these as warm and sweet. I've not been so pleasantly surprised over a purchase in a very long time.
The sound is well worth the price.

the emad bass head is beautiful but i am going to throw the rest of these heads in the garbage. the 'st dry' snare has a totally different sound than my evans powerstroke and i hate it. i play reggae rock so i tune my snare real tight and the 'dry' has the most annoying overtone ring. no matter how i tuned the g2 toms they always sounded like those heads you get on your drums when you just bought them, you know those fake heads that are just for show. i am so disappointed. i love the evan standard pack though.

Comments about Evans EMAD 5-Piece Drumhead Pack:

Good heads, great sound, but much louder than I expected. Forced our band practices to raise the decibal a little bit. If you are a heavy handed drummer, you might take notice.

        Money well spent

Comments about Evans EMAD 5-Piece Drumhead Pack:

The tom and kick heads sound great and achieve the sound i was looking for; however, the snare sound is just awful, I don't like it at all. Otherwise the Evans EMAD system is a good setup for a decent price, the heads are on a Pearl Forum kit at time of review.

        Would absolutely buy again

        By Michael Kanak

        from New Mexico

Comments about Evans EMAD 5-Piece Drumhead Pack:

I bought this pack for my Mapex V-series 7piece (adding another head to my 10" rack tom and already having one G2 head as it was) and I am blown away at the sound I have coming from my kit. I feel I am not the best at tuning drums, and find it difficult to get a sound I am satisfied with, but with this pack it took only a few moments for each drum. The bass head in itself is absolutely remarkable, and in short is my favorite head I have ever purchased.

Pick these up. You won't be disappointed...and if you are, you're doing it wrong.

Comments about Evans EMAD 5-Piece Drumhead Pack:

Replaced the stock heads on my new Ludwig Epics with these and in a word - WOW! The tone and "focus" of each drum is vastly improved. The toms now have a defined "note"-much less muddy than before. The snare is much the same. But the EMAD on the kick, simply awesome. Lowered the pitch, reduced the overtones, in short my kicksounds great! I bought Evans EC clear resonant heads for the toms which has added to the improvement. Buy these - you won't be disappointed!

        Best Drum Heads Ever!!!!

Comments about Evans EMAD 5-Piece Drumhead Pack:

So these arrived a couple of weeks back and i just put them on my kit and i have to say they are the best sounding drums heads I have used to this day. I have heard DW drums with these heads on and they just sound out of this world. I dare say my kit sounds almost or just as good as a DW with Evans Heads now. These heads are amazing that i will not consider buying any other heads except for Evans. Totally worth every penny i spent on them.

Comments about Evans EMAD 5-Piece Drumhead Pack:

Just got these heads yesterday and they're amazing. I'm bad at tuning, but I got these heads to sound amazing in no time, very durable too. I hit hard and played with them for 2 hours so far and no marks. Didn't care for the snare head, but like Is aid I'm not good at tuning, def. recommend this set for anyone.

Comments about Evans EMAD 5-Piece Drumhead Pack:

I just got these heads last night, and they are simply awesome. The versatility and durability you get for your money is ridiculous. I have to agree with everyone else here, that the bass head stands out the most, along with the snare. I play extremely hard, and these heads have hardly any marks on them after a 4 hour play session. No matter what style you play, get. these. heads.

        great buy!

Comments about Evans EMAD 5-Piece Drumhead Pack:

Well I've always heard Evans were the best way to go so I decided I would try them out. Without a doubt the quality of these drum heads impressed me more and more as I played them. As for sound quality wow the emad 2 bass drum head sounds like a cannon going off and the snare head defiantly stands up to its name not only for superior sound but durability as well. The tom heads are the only thing I had any trouble with only because of minor overtones but overall what a buy.. I strongly recommend this set you won't be disappointed!

Great heads for a great price

        By jwatanabe

Comments about Evans EMAD 5-Piece Drumhead Pack:

This a great deal on 5 quality drumheads. The snare drum head definitely stands up to its name (Genera Super Tough Dry); it is a very durable head that has not shown a bit of wear, and you will never have to dampen this head because it has little overtone. The tom heads are good as well but they gave me the most problems. I thought I couldn't tune them to save my life, but my drum teacher told me that they won't sound as good in a small space, which is what I play in. They do sound very good in a large space or when they are miked though. I would recommend getting Evans E-rings or Moon Gel for these cause they have a lot of overtones. Hey, if the G2s are good enough for The Rev, they are good enough for me. Now for the legendary EMAD. Incredible. A great thud sound that is adjustable through two provided foam rings. Tune the bass head just past its wrinkle point and prepare to be amazed. I would definitely recommend these. They are a great deal. Get them while they're cheap!
