I was looking for something to bring my toms alive. I've changed batter heads but just stuck to the manufactures standard resonant heads. After having the same sound somewhat trying different batter heads I finally decided to go with the Evans G1 resonant heads after receiving some advice from a buddy. It was a very good choice, was just what my DW kit needed!.. I finally think I've found the sound I've been wanting with the G1's to go along with the Evans hydraulic glass batter heads!.. Try these if you want to liven up your kit, it's well worth it!...

I bought these to throw on my toms as resononant heads. I had been playing a lot on my lower end practice kit recently and for the sake of saving money had left the stock reso heads on. It got to the point where I couldn't stand the sound of my drums and I decided to finally replace the reso's. There was a never a doubt in my mind that I would get some G1's to go along with my G2 coateds on top. The sound is fantastic. I think I could put an evens head on a trashcan and tune it to sound good. Top notch. Evans for life.
Easy to tune.
Sound great.
Could be cheaper, but they are competitively priced with the Remos and Aquarians of the world.
