      I put a coated G14 on my Pork Pie Black on Brass snare, which already sounded great. Huge improvement! It pops without doing rimshots. Great for full sounding rock/pop fills...but also great for double stroke and buzz rolls. Kind of like the sound of double ply that plays like a single ply. Evans heads are the best!

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

          Comments about Evans G14 Coated Drumhead:

          I put one of these on my hard to tune, hard to fit, high pitched 14" vintage Gretsch floor tom. I've been searching for the right head for years. The change was instant and amazing. I now have a rumble and a resonance that I never believed possible from that drum. There is perfect attenuation of unwanted overtones and incredible sustain. I have them now on my 12 and 13 rack toms and now I have the perfect vintage sound. I plan to try one on a difficult 20" bass drum. I am expecting a miracle! Amazing!
