    A nice look without all the work and worry (thanks to Evans and Musicians Friend).
    Nice sound with a very nice look. Compliments evertime someone sees it. They asked me if I had it painted on there or if it came like that. "Bought it like that!"
    Nice resonant head and the picture doesn't affect the sound.
    Cheaper than having it custom made locally and might affect the sound if I let someone paint the head.

    good for looks, not playing

    i recently bought this inked evans head with our band logo on it. well worth it. i loved the detail and time they took to put on the head art.well just one show in i heard people saying tht my head split in the middle.i realized that they were right,i put a port hole in the middle of the head and it exploded from the middle.so now my 70 drum head is hanging in my room with our band signature so its worth it for looks, not playing

    Completely destroyed after only 3 gigs...

    In May, 2010 I was excited when I stumbled upon the Evans Inked website for bass drum detailing. I've been playing rock music for 30 years and always wanted a custom resonant bass head. I recently purchased a new set of DW's, and this was the time! The head took a month to ship, but was seemingly worth it when I took delivery and saw the quality of both the design and craftsmanship of the paint that far exceeded my expectations. The story turns unfortunate on the 3rd night of giging with the head. I'm not sure if I compromised the durability of the head by cutting a mic hole in it, but over the course of a 3-set evening of playing, this head completed broke up in pieces from vibration!!Happening just last weekend, I'm still stunned and in disbelief. I've had resonant heads that have lasted years. I'm not sure what happened here, but hope Evans can offer some customer service.Again, the design was terrific, the head ???
