Get a stronger head without anyone knowing the difference.

It's the same design as the standard Power Center head (See 443802 in customer purchases box), but with the center-reinforcement dot moved to the underside of the head.

Designed to add durability in the spot where the stick strikes it the most, the Power Center also adds focus to your sound. The coated, perforated, center-reinforced head still allows overtones to ring freely when struck on the edges. The head has an open, bright sound and creates a fat backbeat.

Normally you might trash a single-ply head, but not the Power Center. Buy it today and get a head that can take a beating.

This head is like Godzilla for my Yamaha Musashi 13" Snare. I had an HD Genera Dry on there before which sounded fantastic but this head is a whole 'nother world. Deep lows, ringing sustain, more clarity in the highs, and OH! the VOLUME! It sounds like an explosion is going off inside of your drum. It literally enhanced my playing ability and pushed me to practice longer and better. I have never had a snare head sound good AND become a learning tool! You will ENJOY THIS HEAD! The only complaint I have is that this beast of a snare head made my snare 40% louder than the rest of my kit. That's how much of a psycho this batter head is, and if it's like any other Evans coated Snare batter, it will hold up for several poundings to come. I was thinking about a Remo Sound Control or an Ambassador X - but there simply can't be a better head out there than this one right here. Simply amazed.

Comments about Evans Power Center Reverse Dot Head:

I picked up a Stage Custom Birch last year, and while I like the kit I could never get the snare to sound quite right.

I started out with an Evans G1, but (strangely) the head lacked sensitivity on this drum - when I would play ghost notes, the snares would not engage, and it sounded like a timbale.

I tried a G2 and sensitivity increased (strangely), but was still not what I wanted. In addition, the drum would ring obnoxiously, like a cheaply made steel snare. I could take out the ringing by putting a study ring on the batter head, but then the whole thing sounded like a box with snares.

Not sure what made me try a PCRD, but I'm glad I did. The drum is more sensitive now than it has been - just a light touch and the snares engage. In addition, I don't need the studio ring anymore. The head sounds live (a slight ring), but the obnoxious ringing is gone.

Comments about Evans Power Center Reverse Dot Head:

I was looking for something a bit more durable than the Remo reverse dot, tried this head out and I love it on all my snares. No matter what snare I use it on, maple, brass, copper it seems to bring out the best tone, at least to my ears. I have had no issues with coating chipping off so far. I like the fact that I can get different tones by playing inside or outside the dot.

Comments about Evans Power Center Reverse Dot Head:

Even if you play other brands of drumheads, you owe it to yourself to try the Power Center Reverse Dot! I've noticed that the equivalent head from Remo (Coated Controlled Sound, or "black dot") has a lot of ringy overtones, and it usually takes a full piece of Moongel to get them under control. In contrast, the Evans head has a "softer", more "broken in" feel, even when you first put it on the drum, and I've gotten any overtones under control using only a half-size piece of Moongel! And it's not just for heavy hitters, either; even jazz drummers like Dafnis Prieto swear by this snare head! Live or in the studio, it's a dependable go-to piece of gear.

Comments about Evans Power Center Reverse Dot Head:

When I first started drumming I have always used this head for my snare even though how bad my snare was back then it still sang pretty decent.

I have also went to remo once to see if some of there heads would maybe be better. I can pretty much say that the Evans Powered reversed dot sounded so much better.

I am currently using a dw performance series snare right now and I still can't get any remo heads to sound better then this head.

So if you cant find any good heads for your snare I highly recommend giving this head a try

Another great product by Evans! Blown away at the fact at how much LOUDER my snare is! I get a REALLY loud crack out of my snare drum now, and it gives a much more focused sound. And that's not including when I do rimshots! My snare sounds amazing, highly recommend this to any and every drummer out there!

Comments about Evans Power Center Reverse Dot Head:

This is a great snare head. It has a nice crisp and clear sound. In addition, it made my snare about 20% louder. Some have said that it has a ring to it. However, I use a snare choke and have never had that issue. I play contemporary christian for church but play heavy metal, rock and jazz as well. This head sounds good with all styles. Also, the evans black hydrolic is another good snare head. You can't go wrong with either one. I have also tried a few acquarian heads and found the evans to be the best fit for my drum set. Keep in mind that all drum sets are different.

I love this head for snare drum. Similar to the coated Ambassador but adds a slight bit of ring reduction that is useful in a lot of applications. I'm using it on a variety of snare drums, including birch, maple, basswood, and brass.

I've tried MANY snare heads--just ask my wife--but I keep coming back to this one. The range of tones across the head surface is unparalleled in the Evans line.

My snare, a Mapex M-Birch with Dunnett hybrid wood/metal hoops, has a notorious midrange ring. With this head, I found found the ideal balance with a 1"x1.5" two-layer strip of gaff tape about 2.5" from the rim. Probably a better snare wouldn't need any additional muffling.

Comments about Evans Power Center Reverse Dot Head:

This is the best head I've used! I've used Evans and Remo heads, both have great heads but nothing I've used can compare to this one. I play heavy metal and am a very hard hitter and it's held up through it all. I've played this one head for almost nine months and it's never dented, busted, lost tune, or anything to make me ever want another head. It's durrable, agressive, and with the PureSound Blaster snare wire on the snare side head, it makes the loudest snare sound I've ever heard to come out of a simple maple 14x 5 1/2...
