Get a stronger head without anyone knowing the difference.

It's the same design as the standard Power Center head (See 443802 in customer purchases box), but with the center-reinforcement dot moved to the underside of the head.

Designed to add durability in the spot where the stick strikes it the most, the Power Center also adds focus to your sound. The coated, perforated, center-reinforced head still allows overtones to ring freely when struck on the edges. The head has an open, bright sound and creates a fat backbeat.

    Features

    • Single-ply, 10mil head
    • Coated

Normally you might trash a single-ply head, but not the Power Center. Buy it today and get a head that can take a beating.

This head is like Godzilla for my Yamaha Musashi 13" Snare. I had an HD Genera Dry on there before which sounded fantastic but this head is a whole 'nother world. Deep lows, ringing sustain, more clarity in the highs, and OH! the VOLUME! It sounds like an explosion is going off inside of your drum. It literally enhanced my playing ability and pushed me to practice longer and better. I have never had a snare head sound good AND become a learning tool! You will ENJOY THIS HEAD! The only complaint I have is that this beast of a snare head made my snare 40% louder than the rest of my kit. That's how much of a psycho this batter head is, and if it's like any other Evans coated Snare batter, it will hold up for several poundings to come. I was thinking about a Remo Sound Control or an Ambassador X - but there simply can't be a better head out there than this one right here. Simply amazed.

Another great product by Evans! Blown away at the fact at how much LOUDER my snare is! I get a REALLY loud crack out of my snare drum now, and it gives a much more focused sound. And that's not including when I do rimshots! My snare sounds amazing, highly recommend this to any and every drummer out there!

Comments about Evans Power Center Reverse Dot Head:

This is a great snare head. It has a nice crisp and clear sound. In addition, it made my snare about 20% louder. Some have said that it has a ring to it. However, I use a snare choke and have never had that issue. I play contemporary christian for church but play heavy metal, rock and jazz as well. This head sounds good with all styles. Also, the evans black hydrolic is another good snare head. You can't go wrong with either one. I have also tried a few acquarian heads and found the evans to be the best fit for my drum set. Keep in mind that all drum sets are different.

I love this head for snare drum. Similar to the coated Ambassador but adds a slight bit of ring reduction that is useful in a lot of applications. I'm using it on a variety of snare drums, including birch, maple, basswood, and brass.

I've tried MANY snare heads--just ask my wife--but I keep coming back to this one. The range of tones across the head surface is unparalleled in the Evans line.

My snare, a Mapex M-Birch with Dunnett hybrid wood/metal hoops, has a notorious midrange ring. With this head, I found found the ideal balance with a 1"x1.5" two-layer strip of gaff tape about 2.5" from the rim. Probably a better snare wouldn't need any additional muffling.

Comments about Evans Power Center Reverse Dot Head:

This is the best head I've used! I've used Evans and Remo heads, both have great heads but nothing I've used can compare to this one. I play heavy metal and am a very hard hitter and it's held up through it all. I've played this one head for almost nine months and it's never dented, busted, lost tune, or anything to make me ever want another head. It's durrable, agressive, and with the PureSound Blaster snare wire on the snare side head, it makes the loudest snare sound I've ever heard to come out of a simple maple 14x 5 1/2...

WellIts a amazing head it sounds great because i do love my snares with ALOT of overtone (Ringing) and this snare had it but if you dident want overtone you could just use moonjell My only problem was that it broke (Dents in it) in about a month and a half but this is VERY cheap so i just went on and bought another!
