Put a unique stamp on your sound.
Unleash your creativity with the Vertical China's long, thin metal slat. It offers endless possibilities. An initial percussive strike produces metallic "pang." Bend it slightly to create an open China sound or bend it in a series of tight curves to produce an explosive, trashy metal effect. Twist the entire metal slat for more exotic sounds, or modulate pitch by bending with one hand while playing with the other. Stack Vertical Chinas on top of each other or play them side-by-side for exciting visuals on stage. Excellent in recording studios where the Vertical China can put a unique stamp on any sound design. 22" long.

No way. This would be the worst investment a drummer could make. The idea is cool, it's like a muffled cymbal that has a real tremolo-ish sound. Except with even a small drum kit behind it, you can't even hear it. All you hear with a full set is a small, dead 'ping.' And in order to get a good sound out of it, you need to WAIL on it unessecarily hard. Not even worth the money.
Id like to be the first to put a review on this piece of metal. Although creative I think its kinda a waste of money. I mean I've bent this thing into so many different shapes and it still sounds like Im just hitting a flag pole with my drum sticks. I don't know if Im just not making the right shapes or what but I think you could get the same sound outta a piece of sheet metal. If any one reads this and dissagrees please tell me cause Im still curious to see why they call this thing a china.
