This product is a great addition to any to any drummers arsenal. There are good things about these sticks and there are things that I which were different. The things that are good about these sticks are that the light in them goes on when you hit the drums and dims out when you aren't using them. The second thing is that the tip is opaqued so that the light going up the stick culminates at the tip so it is brighter. The things that are bad are that these sticks are a little bendy. When you are hitting the drums they give a little bit so you have to over-compensate for this by hitting them even harder. Another thing that is not that great about them is that the screw comes loose at the base of the stick. Make sure to tighten them up as soon as you get them and before every time you use them. And the last thing that I have found that bums me out about these is that the don't completely turn off. They are always in a prone state so every time they are hit they are set off. So if you are carrying them in a stick bag and that bag is getting hit around, they are going to keep going off. Through all of these downfalls, they are a great product. When ever I bring them out the crowd goes mental. Every time I have done a solo I have used these and they have gotten a great response every time.

My son got a red and blue set for Christmas. They were on back order and came late which was understandable. A red stck broke the second or third time he used them. We thought he was playing too hard but a friend of his said he had the same sticks and one broke early on too. It looks like they don't stand up to regular drum playing. They look cool in the dark but I would not recommend them.

I ordered these for a friend for Christmas. When he opened them, one stick didn't light up. He was so disappointed! I returned them to Musician's Friend for an exchange. They were incredibly responsive. They acknowledged receipt of the return via email, credited my account and immediately shipped me a replacement set that arrived within 5 days..in time for my friend's holiday concert. They work fine and he's very happy. Very impressive customer service!

Comments about Firestix Light up Drumsticks:
This was such a fabulous purchase from Musician's Friend. These drumsticks were advertised at our local music store for TWICE the price. We were buying them for our 2 year old son (yep, who gives a 2 year old a drumset? I'm doubting our choice already!) but they're perfect, and so was the transaction!

Comments about Firestix Light up Drumsticks:
They are fairly hearty and have endured plenty of rimshots and kitchen counter "drum-offs". The replaceable batteries is definately a plus, but the batteries do last a good while.
While nothing more than a "neat" thing to have, I have to say that these things are pretty fun. Originally bought for my daughter who just purchased her 1st "starter" drum set, these sticks are a lot of fun and breaks up the monotony of the beginning learning experience. I will admit that I personally have enjoyed thumping around on various household counters/furniture in the dark with these.... but they are a fun addition to my daughter's drumming " extras.
Comments about Firestix Light up Drumsticks:
These drumsticks are absolutely terrible. They Barely light up, and they are made with such cheap material. Even in pitch dark, the whole stick doesn't light up, just the bottom. And they only light up when they hit something and then fade out. The battery life is about as bad as the product. But I guess you get what you pay for.
Comments about Firestix Light up Drumsticks:
I used these for about a full set of one show. I thought the batteries died on one of them. I had to buy a special tool to remove the screw holding the caps onto the stick: The phillips head on the screw was so cheap it didn't respond to phillips head screwdrivers. When I finally succeeded in replacing the batteries, I discovered that the stick that had quit working had malfunctioned. Bandmates and audience liked the effects but the batteries are hard to replace, the sticks don't sound nearly as good as wood sticks, and evidently they're susceptible to malfunctions.
Comments about Firestix Light up Drumsticks:
This are the best sticks ever they glow up super bright especialy the blue ones i ve use them now in 4 shows and they totally grab the attention of the public overall a must especialy for drum drummers; they love these. BUY THEM!!
Comments about Firestix Light up Drumsticks:
I Have had these sticks for about 3 years so far, i only used them a few times because i just simply HATED them, they are awful sticks! most drum sticks will bounce up after you hit a drum, but these dont they dont move when you hit a drum so they just screw up the sound! also, they are VERY bendy and will break easily, so with the same price buy some nice Wooden Sticks with nylon tips! not these! if you buy these, you are in for a dissapointment!
Comments about Firestix Light up Drumsticks:
They were fun for a while, but the screws in the ends became stripped almost instantly, and they had a rubbery attack... very noticable during jam sessions. The lights were cool tho when I would jam with my keyboardist friend (he had keys that lit up when he played) we'd set up some black lights and a strobe light behind me and go to town on some NIN and Tool jams and people who watched said it was a sensory overdrive. A bit pricey for sticks that lack attack
