Use common sense. If you buy a relative cheap drum bag like this one, don?t expect to hold 200lb. Use your creativity. A bag like this needs a couple of adjustments. Example: Attach (find a way) a round plastic material on both ends. Use the lid of a big can of paint for example. That strengthens both ends. A plastic sheet of sintra or PVC (1/8? or 3/16?) works all along the inside. That reinforces the bottom if you carry the bag horizontally. And remember, this are not an unquestionable recommendations, be ingenious and practical,Use your imagination, if you are on a low budget. Otherwise, buy a more expensive bag and stop complain about these ones. Use common sense; be practical, use your creativity and your imagination. Have e fun!!!

I bought this a few weeks ago. Used it for the first time and had the shoulder strap break the second I put it up over my shoulder! The swivels on the ends of the shoulder strap are made of extremely thin plastic. There is no way that these straps were tested by any means of quality control. I'm not sure the strap is strong enough to hold one or maybe two stands! Other than that, the other handles seem to be pretty solid and the material seems to be durable with a nice soft lining. It really needs to have a better shoulder strap though especially with the absence of wheels.

Comments about Gator GP-HDWE Padded Drum Hardware Bag:

be warned. i have several gator products which i generally like, so this is more about incorrect product description. this bag has an extra lining so its not just a cordura shell, but its not padded in any way with a layer of foam like their drum soft cases. otherwise a decent duffel.

          GP-HDWE Padded Drum Hardware Bag

Comments about Gator GP-HDWE Padded Drum Hardware Bag:

I bought two of these because of their larger size to fit the two Gibraltar racks I have for two of my drum sets.
They are a very decent sturdy bag for the price and they fit all my rack bars and parts well.

          Good product

          By Ted

          from Buffalo, New York

Comments about Gator GP-HDWE Padded Drum Hardware Bag:

Bag is large enough for all my drum hardware and our bands other mic stands. It looks like it should hold up just fine and be a great product.
There are not too many features to ask for in a bag. It does exactly what I need it to. There is a nice soft lining within the bag.
I noticed that there is plastic used in the shoulder strap but everything seems to be holding together just fine.
Compared to other bags I have seen, the price is good for a bag that does its job

          Duffle Bag

Comments about Gator GP-HDWE Padded Drum Hardware Bag:

I purchased this bag with the idea that it had 25mm of padding as the description states. It actually has no padding and the total thickness is about 3mm. I will have to add my own padding.
Oh, and the photo is misleading as well. There is no large compartment at the end that looks like a drum seat may fit. It's just a small zip pouch for extra cables or small stuff. And the shoulder strap attached to the ends of the bag, not to the handles as the photo shows.
Besides that, it seems of good quality build.

          Great Bag

          By Glenn Sacchi

          from Wappingers Falls, New York

Comments about Gator GP-HDWE Padded Drum Hardware Bag:

Just received these hardware bags in time for this weekend`s gigs. Previously, I used one fiber skin hardware box on wheels that weighed more than a ton and it was an issue if I had to move it by myself. So I got smart and purchased 2 GP-HDWE Padded Drum Hardware Bags,14x36 inches, from Gator to lighten the load and save my back. I wish I had thought of this years ago. They are sturdy and strong and have plenty of room for all my hardware including the seat of my drum stool. You can use either the heavy duty handles on top of the bag or, if you have strong shoulders, the shoulder strap. Anyway, thank you Gator for a great bag.

Should be called hardware duffle bag

          By schwa

          from tamaqua, Pa

Comments about Gator GP-HDWE Padded Drum Hardware Bag:

These bags would better be described as hardware duffle bags, that is what they are. I think the description is a little missleading. I've used several bags over the years and no matter what kind of soft bag you get the end result is the same---A HEAVY BAG THAT FALLS APPART---I use the 14x36 bags and think they are great. Why break your back putting 5 cymbal stands throne snare hi hat and other items in 1 bag. Like other reviews use common sense and split your hardware up and these bags should last a long time.
