This stand does everything you're going to need it to do. This is as good as a DW, Pearl, or anything else with a big price tag. Save yourself a lot of money and get this stand.

this is the best stand i have ever used! i started it out using a sixteen zbt china on it, but then i took the boom out then put a tom in the staand and bought a gibralter clamp to still mount the cymbal on! the worse it does is shake and only every once in a while (im a heavy hitter) i play deathcore, post hardcore, rock, classic rock, and this stand laughs off no matter what music i play, great stand for great price! go gibralter!

I had a 5600-series snare stand with which I've been incredibly pleased, so when the opportunity to get a boom stand from the same series came up I couldn't pass it up.  You can smack the thing as hard as you like and it'll just laugh it off.  Only complaint is that it is quite heavy, which isn't much of a complaint at all.

This stand turned out to be a lot stronger than I was expecting. I love the quality Gibraltar products have. I am planning to replace my other, non-Gibraltar stands with these. Also plan on using Gibraltar for all other hardware needs. I am impressed!
