      Good Luck

Comments about Gibraltar GPDS Pro Djembe Stand:

Great stand until it breaks. If you hit hard (I play a 14" Remo in a Worship Band) you'll break this stand. When you do, be prepared for a very long and drawn out run around with no resolution. Thus the rating of 4.5 on features - adjustable in every way imaginableQuality, self explanatory, Value? Where's the value? Overall....still not happy.

Solid and good for what ails ya

Comments about Gibraltar GPDS Pro Djembe Stand:

I've had my Gibraltar for going on 7 years and it has been a solid stand for me the entire time. It is pretty heavy and won't hardly move around on you (unless you're really getting into it and hitting at an off angle...). It's about as fully adjustable as you can get, and I've never had a problem getting it into the position I needed it to be in. I've used it to hold anywhere from my little 10 inch djembe, to my 16 in, to two djembes at once (with a little creativity). So yeah, solid, adaptive, and overall a highly recommended stand if you've got the scratch.

      Rock-Solid for stage use

Comments about Gibraltar GPDS Pro Djembe Stand:

I owned the cheaper Gibraltar Djembe Stand and finally replaced it with this one. If you perform regularly, and need a solid stand, this is the one. The materials and workmanship are like any good pro drum hardware. It is easy to adjust, and once set up, it won't bounce around. I use it with my LP Pro Djembe, as part of my drum kit.

Adjustable, but if it breaks, does that matter?

Comments about Gibraltar GPDS Pro Djembe Stand:

I owned the regular Gibraltar Djembe Stand for almost 6 months before it cracked at a spot weld. I was playing in a band that had amplified acoustic instruments at gigs. Everything got progressively louder throughout the night as people would turn their instruments up in order to hear them over other instrments(working musicians you know what I'm talking about). Anyway, I got this thinking, "Great, a stand meant for working musicians who need a solid piece of equipment." Well, the same thing happened to this stand as the last. After a couple months of gigging and hard hitting, this stand broke at a spot weld. Since then I got an LP aspire conga stand and have not had a problem. Take my advice and think twice about getting this stand.

Best Djembe Stand I have found

      By J Mamlin

Comments about Gibraltar GPDS Pro Djembe Stand:

This stand is excellent. It is very strong and adjustible. You might have a little trouble with a really small Djembe, but I have a 14inch Remo on it, and it fits well. It is pretty heavy, so consider that when you are thinking about taking it out on gigs. But it does fold up into a pretty small space. Overall, I would certainly recommend this it holds the drum in position and you can find exactly the position that is comfortable for you.I thought the price is excellent for the pro quality of this piece. It was well worth it to me.For the past few years, I was using the other Gibraltar stand. By comparison, I would say this one is more stable, folds better, and seems to be more "road worthy". It is also easier to adjust and holds the drum right where you want it. The other one was great, but this one is definitely a step up.
