This is a very well designed piece of hardware. I use it to mount splashes but if your tighten it diligently I will hold anything under 18 inches. I?m going to buy three more for a crash, mini china, and a bigger splash. It saves floor stand clutter so you won?t have to deal with fitting the tri pods through each other with full stands. If you have a rack, this is the perfect thing for cymbals. Buy three and that?s your stand solution of 100 bucks. It?s especially good if your a drummer who does a lot of multi shows where its band after band breaking down and setting up. Get a BIG HEFTY Gibraltar stand and put these little parasites on it. I?m a cymbal freak so this is the best thing I?ve ever seen and for that price. Even if you don?t buy this one. DONT BUY PEARL. Don?t by pearls boom stands. Everybody I know that has and export with the boom stand it breaks in the same place. BUY THIS ONE!

I was disappointed to discover that these arms WILL NOT mount a vintage cymbal with the smaller hole. Neither my 30's Zildjian or Zenjian would even go over the sleeve. And that's not all. It's also very restrictive on a modern cymbal. I have used 6mm Tama cymbal mates with no problems for 14 years and spider cracked a Sabian HH 12" splash on the Gibraltar in one or two hits. 8mm threads dont bend as easily if dropped or hit upon but I much prefer the 6mm and will not buy without knowing again.

I have 2 of these. One holding a 20" Paiste Sig Dry Ride, the other holding an 18" china and a 6" stacker with a 10" splash. These things don't budge. Very stable. I also use the Gibraltar 12.7mm memory locks with them, but they don't have a slot for them. Still works though. I have these on a 1.25" base stand and there is plenty of mounting screw thread left. These could fit a 1.5" stand no problem. Best deal hands down.

          Very Very good

Comments about Gibraltar Grabber Cymbal Arm:

Very sturdy cymbal stand, ive had it for about 6 months and its still holds up. It holds my heavy 21" zildjian rock ride with no problem at all. The only problem i have with it is that the top felt keeps sliding up, but besides that it does its job very very well.

Comments about Gibraltar Grabber Cymbal Arm:

I'm currently using two of these Gibraltar Grabber Arms on my kit. One holds a 14 inch Meinl Byzance Brilliant China and the other holds a 22 inch Sabian AA Metal-X ride. The ride is just as sturdy as the china and there's at least a 20lb difference there. (Maybe I'm exaggerating a little? Not sure) Sound investment.

          Gibralter Cymbal Grabber Arm

Comments about Gibraltar Grabber Cymbal Arm:

I bought this about a month ago so I would have something to put my Sabian 10 inch splash on and it has worked great for me. The cymbal arm is mounted on my Pearl Boom Stand and it holds my cymbal very well. It also has the ability to hold my 16 inch Zildijan A Custom Crash. This is a very sturdy stand and I would recommend it to anyone.

i would like to start by saying this is amazing. i bought one to see how well it worked and was so happy i bought 3 more. 1 has a 14 inch crash and splash using the gibralter stacker another has a 12 inch china one has a 20 inch ride( i was amazed it would hold it) and the last has a splash.these really do help save room on your set and keeps stand legs from getting clustered even though i use a drum rack that i built. if you dont have this i would get one soon.

          Great Product, Great Price!

Comments about Gibraltar Grabber Cymbal Arm:

This is my fourth piece of Gibraltar equipment. I also own a drum throne, and two other boom arms. I have yet to use it heavily, but already the mounting of this was easy and secure. I have an LP cowbell mounted, and it fits nicely. I'd highly recommend this if you are not looking to add another stand to your kit setup, or if you're like me and want a bigger drumset without a bigger hole in your wallet. Either way, win win.
