I got two of these to mount vintage toms. Did not want to mar my bass which had a single tom mount. Easy to mount of cymbal stands and simple to adjust to a wide range of positions. Holds 8x12 and 9x13 toms steadily. You will need fairly heavy cymbal stands and will have to arrange the legs carefully to compensate for tom weight.

These are great replacements for the resin-ball type tom mounts; very sturdy, and they allow better positioning (unlike the fixed distance of the ball-mounted L-rods, these L-rods can slide horizontally fore and aft to get toms closer/farther as needed); Tip: use heatshrink tubing or gaffer's tape on the L-rod's vertical, knurled post to accommodate tom-mount clamp diameter differences if needed.

it's a simple inexpensive product that works. i play drum set and percussion depending on the band i'm playing with that weekend so i need hardware that's both durable and versatile and these little suckers deliver. they're easy to adjust and i've never had one let me down. if you're looking to add a tamborine or cowbell to your kit this is probably the cheapest and easiest option. they're also strong enough to mount a drum. i have one holding my 10'' timbale.
these clamps are very adjustable, you can put whatever you're mounting in the perfect spot (i use mine for cowbells, tamborine and jam blocks)
i have a couple of these that have been in constant use for the past 4 years and they still look and perform like new

I have two of these holding up my gong bass drum, and I have had no problems with them. Even when the full weight of everything is on them, it just takes it. I love the versatility of it, it's many adjustments allow you to use it for literally everything! I definitely recommend this for ANYONE!

This thing is great. I have used the DW L ROD attachment (which costs considerably more) and it is no different. The DW is shinier, which doesn't really matter after you spill a couple beers on it, but I prefer the Gibralter based solely on the price. A+
