Don't be deceived...

These are NOT lightweight beaters. They weigh EXACTLY the same as the Tama Iron Cobra beaters with NONE of the features or functionality.

Don't buy these.

There are honestly the worst beaters I've ever used, and these aren't lightweight, they're around average weight. Just save up and buy some detanators ( some of the best beaters ever - #1 in my opinion ) or some Tama Wood Beaters.

This beater is indeed light weight compared to the one on my PDP402 double bass pedal(its like a DW beater) I just got this today (5/8/09) and I put it on my pedal, its a blast, it has a nice rich,deep bass drum sound. I recommend you use the felt side. This beater is AWESOME! I would recommend this beater to any one who wants a lighter beater, or just a new one. Great job Gibraltar!

Lightweight?

These are not lightweight beaters, there was no difference from my old beaters. The felt side is really nice and the plastic side is ok. I use the plastic side because the felt side produces a muffled sound with my Remo Falam Slam Pads. Overall these are good beaters if you need new ones.
