I recently added a 10" splash cymbal, and had no room to put it, unless I ran another extension.. which I did not want. I looked at a lot of the cymbal stackers, and settled on the Gibralter, mostly due to the fact there was no "screw" that needed tighening (which would tighten INTO the existing stands threads). The Gibralter does have a ribbed bottom, that you can finger tighten quite easily (or you could use pliers), and so far I haven't had to re-tighten. Once again, money well spent.

I bought the six inch stacker to stack a 12 inch splash over an 18 inch china. Seems to be enough space, but when I got it I realized there was a major flaw...theres no way to tighten your bottom cymbal using the stacker! The bottom should be reverse-tapered so there could be a washer that compresses the felt on the bottom cymbal--just like the top, but upside down. I can't let my china just hang all over the place loosely. This stacker was a complete waste of money. Sorry Gibraltar--your my brand, but you messed this one up bad.

Comments about Gibraltar Mini Cymbal Stacker:
I like this product because it puts splashes in easy to reach places, however if your one of those drummers that hate when your cymbals are completely loose and flop around this isn't for you, because the bottom cymbal will do that.

I love this stacker simply because it is threaded and screws onto an 8mm post. No dameage to posts due to set screws! I use three of them on my at home kit.

Nice thing to have.
Comments about Gibraltar Mini Cymbal Stacker:
this is a great addition to a drum set. looks really good and leaves enough room to hit both cymbals with control. if your looking to spend little money for a big addition this is what you need.
Comments about Gibraltar Mini Cymbal Stacker:
I bought the Sabian B8 expander pack and used this 4" extension for the 8" splash. PERFECT location for the splash, it doesn't interfere with my other cymbal on that stand AND I didn't need another stand!
Comments about Gibraltar Mini Cymbal Stacker:
I got this a while ago when i wanted to add a splash to my kit, and let me say that it worked like a charm. It elevates the cymbal about 6 inches from the other and doesn't make the other cymbal ring. For the price, it really is a great buy, but i wouldn't reccomend it for larger cymbals, anything over 12 inches
Comments about Gibraltar Mini Cymbal Stacker:
If you just don't have room for cymbals anymore get this! Perfect for small splashed & accent cymbals. I bought the 6" thinking my cymbals would bonk each other every time I hit them (I have a 8" & 12" sabian splashes) There is plenty wiggling room, so for those size of cymbals get the 4". But if you have 12" and a 10" cymbals get the 6" stand. Also, after awhile of playing it may come loose from the screw hold. Just make sure it's tight after every song you play it and will be fine, also one other small gripe. This is the 8mm, so for all the other older & cheaper stands it probably won't work for (Like older tama?s, Ludwig?s & gretchs) So make sure it will fit on your stand! Overall it's perfect for me!
