Comments about Gibraltar Rubber drum bumpers:

These things serve their intended purpose fine, but I use three of them on the bottom of my rack tom, which sits in a snare stand, for added isolation. Works great. Adds extra sustain and low end to the tom's sound.

Comments about Gibraltar Rubber drum bumpers:

Dents, dings and scratches happen. Especially if you are a working drummer. But I am amazed at how many times I have seen needless tom rash where the snare rim contacts the mounted tom shell. I have these on all my sets. They are inexpensive and eliminates tom rash which will add value to your drum set when you decide to sell it. Why would you not use these?

            they will fall off

Comments about Gibraltar Rubber drum bumpers:

They do not grip the rim very well and they *will* fall off when you move your drums. Best use is to wedge them in tight spots where you have drum rims contacting and leave them until you move or re-position your drums. It would be good if they were made of a stiffer rubber material that gripped the rim tighter so you could leave them on.

Comments about Gibraltar Rubber drum bumpers:

I just got a custom kit built for me so I want it to stay in prestine condition. I placed a bumper on the bottom of each rack tom where they are closest to the kick drum, one on the side of the snare facing the high rack tom, and one on the floor tom facing the low rack tom. They work great! If i happen to bump my floor tom it tilts and hits the rack tom where the bumper is so no scratches are crated. The only issue is that the one on the top rim of my snare falls off occasionally from the vibration. They are very discreet since I have black powdercoated rims. You can't even tell they are there.
