These sound great for a week, then they will bend. It is a bad design. Instead of a solid, consistent thickness rod, this beater's rod becomes narrow and thinner near the end. It looks like a knife just cut off a section of it. I have no idea why this is, and it creates a week point that causes the beater to bend.

These beaters are very good. They give that nice "thud" and "punch" out of your bass drum. The only way these beaters wont bust your head is if you have some kind of protection pad. I recommend the Aquarian Kick Pad. These beaters also feel lighter and I can play faster with them. They also give you a louder bass drum.

The first day I got these I replaced my old beaters, wich were the stock ones on my pdp double pedals. After about 45 minutes of playing it broke my 2 month old Evans Emad head. So later I went to the store to buy a new head. I didnt have enough money to get another emad, so I bought some shitty remo head, power stroke 3. Within a weak my head broke again, and right now, I have no head, because I dont have any money to buy a new head, Im only 14. Overall the beaters were bassically the exact same thing as my stock beaters except they break heads, If I were you, dont get them, they are cheap, but I would suggest something else.

I got 2 of these for my DW-5000 double bass pedals, and I love them.. I was previously using DW beaters with felt on one side, and plastic on the other. But these wood ones, while they dont sound too much different, feel alot better to me. They feel lighter than my DW beaters, and I can hold a constant double bass beat a lot better/faster
