I tryed this out last Monday night on my Yamaha 14 inch Custom Stage Snare, it was so easy to install, and the eye's of my band member's just popped!, they were stunned at how much of a differance this tone control made on the sound of my snare drum in the show. Thank You

Much better than the other tone control made by this mfr...what I esp like about this unit is that it fits on odd-type rims. I use it on a Premier Signia snare. No instant on/off lever like some units, but again, those other units don't work on a lot of rims.

Like a studio ring times two, that doesnt fall away. They simply attach to the drum hoop by a clamp and a small dial elevates the 'pad' unto the head: tighter you turn greater the pressure applied. Look kinda funny but definitely worth it.

I love these i have been playing for about 10 minutes and i totaly love the sound on the one drum that is big and on the snap drum it is totally wicked rad. peace out dawg

The Gibraltar Tone Control item worked well for the short amount of time that it was in working condition. First the unit is large and can cover a large amount of the drum your using it on. This can lead to hitting the unit. Unfortunately the unit is poorly made and is constructed of a thin metal. Bottom line is that the Gibraltar Tone Control unit is cheap, and it will break.
