Comments about Gon Bops Fiesta Cajon Walnut Front Plate:

I was hoping to get a myriad of sounds with this and hopefully record with it. However, it just sounds like a snare drum no matter where you hit it, how you hit it, or how you use other body parts to muffle it. It is not what I had hoped.

Comments about Gon Bops Fiesta Cajon Walnut Front Plate:

Bought as gift for father. He appreciates the option to engage/disengage snare sound. Wish it was louder, but the tone does sound like a drum and not simply a box. Tone no better or worse than Meinl I also tried, but that one did not include snare so this won out for value. Also appreciate that they use plywood for box rather than MDF that other companies

Comments about Gon Bops Fiesta Cajon Walnut Front Plate:

Haven't ever play one of these before and wanted one for some time. Plays well and light. Like that I can cut the snare on or off as desired, it's the reason I went with this one, so I wouldn't have to buy two, one with and without a snare. Only thing is if you turn snare off and really beat on cajon, you can hear the strings dangle some because nothing is really supporting them when they are in the off position, there are just kind of hanging in the balance so to speak. Overall though good buy for somebody just playing at home, church, or small gigs. It's is versatile nice carry case too. Over all I'm pleased.
