If you're like me you eat up sticks like a beaver. You play, they dent and chip, and then they eventually break. You get frustated and think to yourself; "Maybe I should get a pair of those Ahead sticks made out of hollow aluminum with the nylon tips?" First off those aren't real drumsticks, second they sound hollow on rim shots, and third they can bust your cymbals in half if you're a heavy hitter like me. It's all in how you play that makes your sticks last or not. The last time I bought a bundle of these sticks they lasted me a year and half and I was playing gigs all over Texas almost every night. I was using the 5A wood tip at the time, which by the way are just Vater's Los Angeles 5A sticks, and they sounded great but I was looking for something a little thinner and a little lighter so I came back to good ol' Musician's Friend and looked over their website and couldn't find anything, then I rembered using a pair of Vater's Manhattan 7A sticks once and liking them quite a bit. Even though I couldn't see what the model of 7A Goodwood was selling I took a chance. See Vater has two 7A models; the "Traditional 7A" with the acorn tip, and then their "Manhattan 7A" with the round ball tip. Well I just got them today and they're Vater's "Manhattan" 7A stick! I couldn't be more pleased. They immediately brought me back to my memories of Austin and the shows I had done there. The Manhattan 7A is thin enough to play Jazz, but also strong and rigid enough to play the heaviest of Rock music. You could even play a little Reggae, Country, or Blues too. It's an extremely versatile stick. If you're in the need for an abundant amout of sticks, and are on a tight budget, and need sticks that will last you a good long time, then go get yourself a pair of Goodwood drumsticks today, because I am telling you these sticks are the bomb no matter what pair you use! : )
Where else can you get one dozen sticks for this price?! This is a great deal for drummers on a tight budget, which the majority of us are almost always on. You can get either nylon or woodtip, which is what I use, and in your standard Vater 5B, Los Angeles 5A, Manhattan 7A, Rock, and Fusion models.
These sticks are made by Vater, so you know these sticks are going to last a good long while!
Again, the vaule is great because all other companies are selling a dozen sticks for much more!

I bought a brick of 12 pairs of the 5B Nylons earlier this year. Over half of the sticks came warped; many of those broke very quickly, as well as some of the non-warped sticks. My advice is to break apart all the pairs as soon as you get them and match up all the non-warped sticks.
I used all the warped/broken sticks to reinforce the bottom of the fence at my parents' house to keep the dog from digging under it. That's about all they're good for at this point.
After going through 12 pairs of Novas and 12 pairs of these in the span of about 18 months, I don't think I'll be wasting my money on cheap sticks anymore. In a pinch, these are okay for practice, but I don't recommend them for gigging, especially if you're a hard hitter.

Comments about Goodwood 12-Pack Drumsticks:
I'm always looking to save money on sticks but my experience with Goodwood sticks so far is that most are crooked. I ordered several pairs and barely found 2 sticks that I would consider functional.

Comments about Goodwood 12-Pack Drumsticks:
Up until I tried these sticks, I was a die-hard Vic Firth fanboy, but breaking/ giving out a few pairs of sticks every night was getting a little pricey. These things feel just like my old Vic 5ANs, and I think the tips might actually have a little more body to them. Long story short, now I can give out souvenirs and still be able to eat after the gig.
Pros
- Functional
- Made In The Usa
Cons
- They Break Easy

Comments about Goodwood 12-Pack Drumsticks:
I have purchased these drumsticks before but just in a different weight and size. I got these as a gift for my brother. He had mentioned that he needed some drumsticks and so I ordered these.I also have used this brand in the past.
The ones I used were pretty good. Of coarse all sticks will break unless they are made of metal.
They are not bad for the price. PLUS THEY WERE MADE IN THE U.S.A!!!
Pros
- Cheap
Cons
- Poor Quality
Best Uses
- Fence Repair
- Practicing

Good sticks, got tired of paying too much for sticks with grip on them, so I decided to get cheaper sticks and grip tape them. They work just as good as the higher priced ones.

Comments about Goodwood 12-Pack Drumsticks:
When I first started out, I doubt I even noticed if my sticks were not a balanced pair but, now, after having played with balanced pairs, it drives me bonkers to play with sticks that differ in weight and feel.
The Goodwoods are pretty decent sticks, don't get me wrong; they're inexpensive and of quite good quality for the price ... but they are not matched for weight.
I've done some manual matching of pairs, and once I find two that feel pretty balanced, these sticks are more than suitable for practice / rehearsal or an emergency back-up.
Comments about Goodwood 12-Pack Drumsticks:
I have used the 5b nylon Novas for a few years and when the price went up on those I tried these, BIG MISTAKE!!! The Novas were at least close to consistent in weight and very seldom have I found one that was warped.
out of 12 pair I was able to use 6 pair. the 6 pair I used I broke 1 as soon as I pulled it out of my bag and hit my ride cymbal and the weights were not close to the same but I had shows to play and had to use them. The 6 pair I couldn't use were all hooked and warped. I got 5b nylon.
Quality is not even a word to describe these wannabe drum sticks
worthless

Comments about Goodwood 12-Pack Drumsticks:
Like I said you will not be disapointed with these drumsticks. You have to give them a try and you cannot beat the price.
No features, they are drumsticks!
These have to be one of the best drumsicks I have ever used. They have a much better wood quality than Pro-Mark or Vic Firth. I can go through a pair of those sticks in a week or less. These Goodwoods are a much better wood and can last me a month or more and a third of the cost when you buy the 12 pack.
You cannot beat the price for a pair.
Comments about Goodwood 12-Pack Drumsticks:
I have used the Goodwood 5A's, 5B's and Rock nylon tip sticks. They are all good solid sticks for the money with good durability, weight and balance. It seems the 5A's are slightly little thicker than the average 5A stick, and the Rock stick seems a bit thinner than the Vic Firth or Zildjian Rock stick. A good value for the money.
As good as many name brand stick, I had a couple warped ones out of a pack of 12, but MF replaced them, so all good!
Great stick for the money!
