Not disappointing at all worth the buy for the sound it generates!
I use this drum to teach in one music academy, and it sound very nice considering the level it supposedly comes in. Though the hard ware can slight be better especially the hi hat stand. Overall this drums delivers nice tone with the proper tuning, it may out do other brands at the same level and price. Worthy for any drummer, not just beginners!

Everything was great about this drum set. The cymbals it came with are also amazing which you wouldn't expect from a price this great!!! The ride cymbal carries out very nicely the high hats are great as well as the crash !! I bought new drum heads though just because i love remo drum heads (pinstripe) and i made a great desicion they sound perfect with the toms on this set. You might want to buy a new snare head too but thats about it. Once they were all fixed up with new heads wow......more than expected!!!!! I highly suggest this if you want to save a bit of money and still want a high quality drum set great job Gretsch

Gretsch is an awesome drum maker. These drums really kick and they are not just a beginner set. Very Sturdy. The deal is great the only thing I can mark off on it is the crash cymbal does not have a great crash sound.
Great Drum set , gretsch has outstanding sound and quality.

For the price quality and the hardware this gets a 11 out of 10. Because of the crappy heads it gets a 10 outta 10. For any skill level this is a great drum kit
Overall this kit is great. The symbols are good for the price and the kit itself is easy to set up and transfer. It only comes with a single kick, which is ok cause i prefer to test the kick pedals i use before i buy them. All the hardware came with and a throne. The heads it came with are pretty crappy but thats standard. I found that remos seem to bring out the best sound in this kit.
For the price your paying its great. I've played on cheap and expensive kits and this one can keep up with any expensive kit.

its a great set, the only fault was i got my top snare skin burst. but i replace it with the evan's reverse dot and now it sounds amazing. its easy to tune and the bass drum is awesome, i love it.
its sweeeeeet
its under priced this set really deserve to be sold for more especially with the great sounding set of cymbal it comes with as well

This drumset is AMAZING! I do not regret getting this drum set. It comes with everything you need. I only have a few cons about this. No. 1- The snare drum is horrible. I tried tuning it and it sounded dry and bad. I reccomend you get new heads for the snare or buy a new one. No. 2- The spring for the bass pedal comes off easily. The first full day I had with the drums was this: every five minutes I had to put the spring back on. But, I tightened the spring and now my kick pedal is great. No. 3- The set does not come with instructions. But, it's pretty easy to set up, anyway.
This set has a lot of pros. No. 1- The toms and bass drum are unbelievable. They sound nice and rich. Don't bother tuning the toms. They sound great. The bass drum I reccomend you tune a little. No. 2- The cymbals are high quality. They sound amazing. The hi hat has a nice little click to it. The splash and crash sound awesome to liven up a beat. The ride cymbal has an amazing tone to it and can carry a ride simply. Overall, I have nothing really bad to say about this drum kit. It's a great way to start off a drumming career. It's great for a beginner to a pro. I reccomend this to anyone. It's worth the $$$$$. So buy it today. Not tomorrow. Today!!!!! Thank you Gretsch!!!!
