Don't be fooled by its sweet exterior, this Gretsch drum has some serious bite.
This Gretsch Full Range Rosewood Snare Drum produces a wide range of tones from a dense, deep growl to a shattering, high-pitched bite. Rosewood is a hard, dense wood that naturally projects a powerful, full-bodied sound. The natural beauty of the Gretsch snare's wood grain contrasts its naturally aggressive sound. The reddish/brown wood grain features a complex grain pattern that is highlighted by the clear high-gloss finish. This snare drum features a 9-ply 100% rosewood shell with 30 edges, die-cast hoops, traditional throw-off, and classic Gretsch badges.

Comments about Gretsch Drums Full Range Rosewood Snare Drum:
I purchased this Beauty of a snare last week, and First impression alone without even taking it out of the box, I knew I had glory in my hands, and sure enough I was right. The Rosewood shell is something to look at for days, even as I changed Snare heads, the Rosewood Plys were beautify visible.
I'm using Evans HD dry/Hazy 300 with Puresound Twisted Snare wires, and the tone from this config, was purely a tone that sings to the ears and soul. It was the deep dark tones, punchy low end with great high end attack.
Which the snares to Puresound 30 strand wires, and it turned into a Marching snare.
Gretsch's idea to have two snare wire tension nobs on both sides of the throwoff switch is GENIUS! Tonal settings are a breeze now!
Buy this Snare and it will be the last snare you'll need!
