Updated styling. Enhanced features. The same great Gretsch sound.
The concept of the Renown redesign was to give the series fresh visual appeal and enhance sonic performance, while preserving its classic Gretsch vibe and spirit. The Renown has been revered for its rock-solid craftsmanship and excellent sonic performance.
Gretsch still uses the proven and unique Renown formula that combines North American rock maple with a slightly softer maple species. Each drum is expertly completed with smooth 30-degree bearing edges and Gretsch's exclusive Silver Sealer interior finish.
Heavy-duty Gretsch die-cast hoops are fitted to all tom and snare shells and classic Gretsch lugs adorn each drum. This Gretsch-engineered shell/hoop combination produces explosive attack and power that is rich with warm, low-end timbre. The updated round, two-toned badge features gleaming silver artwork embossed over a black nickel background.
Snare, cymbals and hardware sold separately.
Poised to carry on the rich Gretsch legacy. Order today.

Comments about Gretsch Drums Renown Series 3-Piece Shell Pack with 24 inch Bass Drum:
I was in the market for a new kit and had already looked at quite a few. I was originally going to go with an SJC kit, but found the Gretsch RN1 Renown Maple it in a Satin White finish. My first thought was, "Wow, I need to see this in person." If you've ever played a Gretsch or even seen one, you know how gorgeous they are. Well, I took my chances and ordered it. I was already excited for this kit being the first BRAND NEW kit I've purchased in 10 years. I pulled them out of the box and immediately fell in love. The finish was super clean and classy, I'm a sucker for white kits. I also love that Gretsch now puts Remo heads on these kits (clear Emperors on toms, Powerstoke III on kick) as well as the die-cast hoops and huge/sturdy floor tom legs. This is a very solid kit. Once I had it setup, I could not believe how nice it sounded right out of the box. The drums are very responsive, deep, and punchy. Don't let the 24" kick fool you, it has all the punch you need, along with the low end attack, and lets face it, it looks sexy! The only thing I disliked was the GTS mount for the rack tom. I am a bit biased since I use a snare stand. The way it's designed is the mount feeds through a rod that extends through the bottom of 2 of the lugs in which the mount attaches to. If you are picky like me, you like everything matched such as lugs, heads, etc. It doesn't coat much to order two replacement lugs, or you could simply switch them to the back of the drum. Concluding, get this kit! It is costly, but very much worth it. You will not be sorry.
