From games to the stage, Drum Rocker does it.
The ION Drum Rocker Electronic Drum Kit is an electronic drum and cymbal pad set designed to be used with the popular video games Rock Band and Rock Band II. Drum Rocker can can also be used as a real electronic drum set by connecting it to an Alesis Drum module. The Drum Rocker delivers the most realistic drumming experience available to any gamer. That's because it was built by the engineers at Alesis, one of the largest manufacturers of professional electronic drums in the world. As a result, you get a kit that's designed to take a real beating, with all the positioning flexibility that professional drummers demand. Drum Rocker's professional aluminum drum rack lets you position your snare, tom, and cymbal pads wherever you want.
Don't just play games. Play DRUMS!
When you're ready to move from playing Rock Band to playing in a rock band, you can swap the Drum Rocker's game controller module with one of the professional drum brains made by Alesis. Just plug the drum and cymbal pads directly into an Alesis Drum module, and you're ready to hit the road for real.
Ultra-quiet velocity sensitive pads
Drum Rocker's velocity-sensitive drum pads feature a playing surface that is much quieter than other drum controllers. They also feel great”the stick rebound off the pad is extremely natural and consistent. The pad housing is made of high-impact plastic designed to withstand beatings on stage night after night. No matter how much you punish them, the Drum Rocker drum pads are designed to take it.
The pads are mounted to the drum rack with a metal L-Arm and clamp system, which allows them to be tilted, swiveled, raised, and lowered to whatever position you want. Just one warning”once you play these pads, nothing else will do!
There's nothing like finishing a monster fill by whacking a crash cymbal, or crossing over to play your hi-hat with your right hand while you keep the backbeat on the snare with your left, or keeping time on a ride cymbal during the chorus. Drum Rocker lets you do all that and more, with cymbals that can be placed anywhere around the kit.
Drum Rocker comes with two cymbals and mounting hardware out of the box, and a third cymbal is available as an optional accessory. You get to decide how you want to use the two cymbals that come with the kit ” set them up as a hi-hat/crash, crash/ride, or hi-hat/ride combination, then add the third cymbal to round out the kit.
All-metal kick drum pedal
The kick drum pedal with any drum controller takes a lot of abuse. No need to worry with Drum Rocker”this pedal is all metal and built to last. It also has the right amount of tension to replicate the feeling of playing a real drum pedal.
The pedal comes with Velcro and retractable spikes, so you can be sure it will stay put. You're not limited to where you place it either”put the kick pedal wherever you feel most comfortable playing it.

Ok so if your like me a hardcore die hard Rock Band fan then this the kit for you. I have tried every Rock Band kit out there including the GoodWoodMods, but this kit kicks its but. No missed notes EVER!!! and there is great rebound. For the kick pedal it is actually pretty nice.
I have had one of these bad boys for a little more than a week and I love it. I have been playing drums for almost 15 years and I also love to play video games. So I hear about rockband and knew it would be the best game I ever played right then. I got so into it that I decided to get an Ion Drum Rocker because from a drummer's standpoint, the game is like interactive sheet music. This is the only way to get the feel of playing on an acoustic or even a real e-set in Rock Band or Rock Band 2. You can whack the mess out of these pads and they will take it, unlike the stock drum for the game. And they are super quiet. You can position the pads where ever you want them so you can get the feel of dropping your stick right between your legs and hitting a snare. Swinging your arm out to the side and riding the ride feels like swinging your arm to the side and riding the ride, cause it IS! I do have some things to let you know about though. #(1)The stand it comes with is very wobbly. No amount of tightening will fix it either. But it shouldn't affect the performance of this beast at all.#(2)The game reads every hit with velocity sensitivity. And unfortunately as of right now, it does not work with the ions. Hopefully this will be fixed soon though, because the stock RB2 drums have the feature too and it still works on the stock kit.#(3)It has 3 open slots for cymbals but only comes with 2. You can buy the 3rd which comes with a stand. I will simply get a pintech trigger and cymbal clamp to use as a 3rd.#(4)Price. If you play RB2 as much as me it is worth it. And add any e-kit brain to it and you pretty much have a fully functional e-kit.
