OVERVIEW

LP cowbells take a beating with a smile.

LP008 Rock Ridge Rider Cowbells are based on a standard rock cowbell with a Jenigor bar across the top edge, secured with specially designed rivets. The bar has a dampening effect on the sound, resists denting, and gives the LP bell a somewhat higher pitched sound than the L'il Ridge Rider cowbell. Made of 14-gauge steel.

FEATURES
  • Features a Jenigor plastic strip along the top edge that provides dampening and prevents denting
  • 14-gauge steel

Comments about LP008 Rock Ridge Rider Cowbell:

This cowbell is HUGE! Great, deep tone and the bar across the top is brilliant. It's very loud and cuts through loud amps nicely. A little pricey but totally worth it!

Comments about LP008 Rock Ridge Rider Cowbell:

Very good Cowbell nice sound to it. This cowbell has very good quality. But watch out for stick selection and technique. Sticks like 7A gives it an awful sound. Consider this a requirement for rock music.

Awesome cowbell

Comments about LP008 Rock Ridge Rider Cowbell:

To be blunt this cowbell is everything I've been looking for. It's sound is not too high and not too low, just right. And the dampening bar gives it a great tone without having to add tape or whatever method of dampening you use. Not to mention it's durable as can be. Being primarily a rock drummer this could be why I like the cowbell, so it may not be for everyone if you're looking for a more Latin flavor, if that's the case the regular Black Beauty is a great starting point. But for playing the likes of Robin Trower's "Lady Love" this bell can't be beat. I use mine with a Pearl Bass Drum Hoop clamp and I love it. Added some needed flare to my kit.

Comments about LP008 Rock Ridge Rider Cowbell:

Great cowbell. Has that standard cowbell sound. The Jenigor bar is great - it really does help the sound and preserves the both the bell and stick when the bar is hit instead of the hitting directly on the bell.

Comments about LP008 Rock Ridge Rider Cowbell:

I have 3 other cowbells which are fine for small venues and lighter percussion but I needed a cowbell to cut through a loud rock band sound. This is the one! It has a nice deep sound and cuts through without a mic and doesnt have that tinny sound you get from smacking a smaller cowbell. This is a serious cowbell.

Obviously, I have previously been cowbell awareness challenged. This thing sounds amazing, and it is huge. I didn't realize these things were so big. I love the way this thing sounds.I was leery about making the purchase without hearing it first, but my worries disappeared after my Vic Firth hit this big, black beauty.

Comments about LP008 Rock Ridge Rider Cowbell:

I've been serious about cowbell for around 10 years now. I decided it was time to invest in a serious cowbell to match my level of skill. This cowbell is great...BUT. It only has one sound. These days you can get a much better rounded cowbell if you invest in the digital modeling cowbells. But if this is wat you, a stripped down classical cowbell, than look no farther.

Comments about LP008 Rock Ridge Rider Cowbell:

I have had this cowbell now for almost a year and it has held up very good. It adds a nice flavor to my style of playing and the bar on the cowbell creates a great place for you to strike it. The bar also prevents the cowbell from ringing when struck and prevents dents on your sticks. I have mine mounted on my hi-hat but will soon have it mounted on my bass drum. The cowbell is large in size but it puts out a great sound that is short and precise. No need for a dampener! This is the best sounding cowbell I have ever played!

It was given as a gift but it is really nice sounding! I have it set up sideways so I can either hit the ridge or the actual metal. It gives a nice alternate sound. I love the sound to.

Comments about LP008 Rock Ridge Rider Cowbell:

This cowbel is ideal for everything drumset. It works with any playing style you can think to fit a cowbell into. The only downside is that I've noticed and annoying rattle if you hit it the slightest bit off-center. Other than that, it's perfect.

Comments about LP008 Rock Ridge Rider Cowbell:

I've had this cowbell for several months and love the dimension it adds to my kit. It has that full rock cowbell sound I was looking for as an alternative to riding the bell on my ride cymbal. You can alter the sound by moving the stick strike nearer or farther from the tip of the stick. Great cowbell; highly recommended.

Comments about LP008 Rock Ridge Rider Cowbell:

This cowbell has the greatest sound. I have a Pearl cowbell and just bought this. It is incredible compared to my old one. It has a real cowbell sound, kind of a 'knock' or a 'clop' if thats helpful. It is very loud too. If you are wanting to know what this cowbell sounds like before you buy it (I always want to hear my gear ahead of purchase) listen to "The Darkness - One Way Ticket". The cowbell at the beginning of the song is very much like this one. I totally recomend this cowbell to anyone. It is so worth the money.

IMO, the LP Ridge Rider Rock cowbell sounds exactly the way a drum kit cowbell should sound. It's a little pricey for a cowbell, but it's worth it.
