This djembe is outstanding, has a great sound ,with supberb response, and a full low to high frequency response, I am in a rock group that is doing unplugged venues and this guy is just great, I love the ease of tuning also,

For a beginner instrument they're very uncomfortable to play. The lugs are akwardly diggin into your legs. The rim does not have a comfort curve. The tone of the drum itself isn't that great either.Go for one of the Remo djembes instead. They're much more comfortable to play, sound better, and are more durable.

I was a little skeptical about the sound of this drum when I first removed it from the package, because it sounded way to metallic and the overtones were horrible. A couple minutes later after I tightened the head the bass was clean and powerful and the highs rang out clean. Don't be fooled by what you hear when you are playing the drum by yourself, as the sound that comes out of the bottom is much better than the sound that you hear above the drum. I would highly recommend this as a good investment to anyone.

I have bought one of your drums, and when it came it had a little dent in it which eventually turned into a crack. i was wondering how much a new skin would cost and how soon it would get here. if you guys could email me back soon that would be great!

Aight I bought this djembe 2 1/2 years ago and it has made its way through my forceful beatage very well. As long as you get a bag with it its a great beginner/novice drum. However, there is a downside that I see now that i wish I had seen 2 1/2 years ago which is: THE HEAD IS NON REPLACIBLE!!!!!! I broke the head last night during a show and found out that when the head is broken, no more use is possible. Now, again, this drum has lasted me through long hours of hard playing for over 2 years, and sounds decent for its price, but beware that if u break the head, youre buying another drum if you want to continue playing.

Don't waste your money on this djembe. It sounded nothing like any djembe I have heard before. Sound was too metallic. Returned it immediately.
