Celebrate the master!
The LPM197 Santana Mini Tunable Conga is an exact replica of the famed original LP conga”but it's only 11" tall and 4-1/2" wide. Just like its larger sibling, the conga's environmentally friendly Siam oak shell combines with a natural rawhide head for resonant authentic tone and low shock to the hands.
The Mini Santana Conga's hardware is all chrome, including Comfort Curve II rims and even mini versions of LP Heart side plates. LP adorns the mini conga with graphics from Carlos' multi-platinum Supernatural album. This LP conga makes a cool addition to your percussion kit or as an emergency drum to carry with you.

First, the pros: This a sturdy and beautifully crafted and finished little drum with a nice sound. You can cradle it in your arm as you play and even turn the sound hole upward to get more sound. The fit and finish are absolutely first-rate. This is a well-crafted, quality instrument despite its size. Once again LP have come through with an outstanding example of their product quality. The cons: the one I received is so much darker than the photo on the web site that it's almost unrecognizable. One of the things that attracted me to this drum was Carlos Santana's artwork. Unfortunately, it's barely visible on the drum I received.Another con, the drum was supposed to arrive before Xmas, but was sent to the wrong address, and I received it on January 4. Fortunately, UPS called me and I was able to pick it up.That hardly seems like having it delivered to my door. I have to wonder what the heck is going on in your shipping department.
I got mine today, and am impressed by the mere look, I've been boppin around with it and played with the tuning. It's a perfect size
