    Comments about LP Microphone Claw:

Percussionists tend to move the djembe a little while playing. This works great to keep the mic in the proper position.

why mess around with anything than the best?

      By David Bolles

      from new jersey

      Comments about LP Microphone Claw:

Why bother messing around? It doesn't make any sense to waste money and motion on what will turn out to be a pale imitation of the LP Claw.
For miking drums ableit whether trap set or hand percussion there is no better solution than LP Claws. Period. All other discussion is pointless.

Limitless possible miking angles with the 3 axis system.
      90% steel-10%plastic ( handles )

I use six of these to mike a Tumba,Quinto and a 16 inch Djembe, top and bottom.

Never had one fall off or come loose.Never.
      Tank tough!

If you need an emergency hammer on stage just grab on of these and start wailing away!
I have seen other miking clamps . They all look flimsy in comparison to the LP Claw.

      Great on my djembe!!!

      By deolNDEmt

      from Northern Indiana

      Comments about LP Microphone Claw:

Very happy! I was tired of using a boom stand to mic my djembe. The Claw simplified my set up and got rid of one more unnecessary stand. I highly recommend this product.
This little baby fit right on my Remo djembe and put the mic exactly where I wanted it. It's very versatile and easy to use. It would be great for any percussion or drum application, however I could see it becoming slightly cumbersome with snare or toms. It's a good sized rig, so if you need a low profile setup then try something smaller. This mic claw handles the sm57 with ease and could handle larger mics with no problem. It's also made well and doesn't rattle!
It seems to be made from quality materials and made to last. Being a drummer and soundman there's nothing more annoying than using a product that's meant to be set up and torn down repeatedly but not made to handle it. This thing is made to handle the workload that it needs to handle
I'm not going to gripe about the price because you get what you pay for. If you want something cheap you'll get something cheaply made. This thing will last and be worth the money you spent on it

      Mic Claw

      By Richard Lyons

      from Riverside CA

      Comments about LP Microphone Claw:

Top notch! I went without one for a couple of years and am so glad to have one again. I will make mic'ing my kit so much easier.
These are great, I had one before and either lost it or someone swiped it. But that's how cool and how functional they are. All drummers, particularly percussionists, would want them. The claw attaches dierectly to the rim of a drum allowing just about unlimited positioning. I set mine between two congas and above a set of bongos and it allows a single mic to catch all drum tones.
Very well made! The rod is high quality steal and the clamp is both steal and with a sheet metal cover. The shaft is knurled for better grip in the clamp.
A great buy at Musician's Friend's alway lower than the local music stores prices.

      Works Great!

      By RAILhead

      from Texas

      Comments about LP Microphone Claw:

We mic every drum on our kit, and this is what we use. We can close-mic them, mic them 5-6" from the skin, bottom mic the centers, and so on and so on. Once we clamp them in place, they deal with all the abuse we throw at them. GET THEM!
Allows you to place the mic in just about any position you want -- I haven't had any issues with placement limitations when I use different mic posistions.
      Rugged and well-built.
While you *could* buy a cheap boom stand for less, you'd be cluttering-up your kit that much more. The convienience of a "set it and forget it" stand is great, and well worth the extra cost.

Durable and fully adjustable ~ well woth the $$$

      By Kevin Mc.

      from Nevada City, CA

      Comments about LP Microphone Claw:

I've been using two of these over congas in live performances for nearly 2 years (approx 100 performances) and they are most road worthy. They adjust in every direction, allowing you to place the mic right where you need it. My mics sit just above the conga heads, and just below the openings at the bottom of my bongos ~ allowing me to pick up both instruments with just 2 mics. Good deal - would certainly buy more of these. I've used other claws in this price range and they don't compare.

      Simply Amazing

      By Jman-0w_7T

      from Northern Ky

      Comments about LP Microphone Claw:

This is a great, I've been using these for everything in the studio the mic is put where you need it and wont move, use it on snares mostly and floor toms but its overall great, no more stands in the way just to mic out something small. It saves space as well as looks cleaner than boom stands all around the drum set. A+ LP

      Overall, really good

      By Mlisa541

      from HOBOKEN, NJ

      Comments about LP Microphone Claw:

I bought a pack of four used SM 57's that came with these clamps. im totally satisfied. they are super sturdy. they clamp on to virtually any drum rim, and cymbals stands if you need them to. its a little hard to find the perfect position for them, but once you mess with it for a little bit, they are great.
