    Comments about LP Octo-Snare Cajon:

Was pleasantly surprised to find it had dual playing surfaces. One side has snare sound the other more of a tom sound. I am using this for acoustic gigs where volume needs to be low. Played with hands using palm, and fingertips for open tones and slaps. It's perfect for situations where even a small snare drum would be too much

      Comments about LP Octo-Snare Cajon:

Bought this looking for and alternative sound source for my set up. I was impressed by how versatile it was. It will make a great addition to any set up. Playing it with some plastic brushes, it is extremely sensitive and is great for small latin, or jazz gigs. Played with hands it is great for low volume situations.

        Comments about LP Octo-Snare Cajon:

Not as full sounding as a standard Cajon, but a nice alternative. A little bit more portable, and maybe even a little more flexible than a standard. You can play both the snare and non snare side for different sounds, almost like a bongo, and if you cup the sound hole while you play you get a sort of talking drum sound.

          Comments about LP Octo-Snare Cajon:

Finally, a percussion instrument that sounds lovely enough that you can play it while other people talk and the stereo goes on, or it can be used for solos. The traditional cajon is a torture for your posture, but this one can sit nicely on your lap. Amazing.

              Comments about LP Octo-Snare Cajon:

I bought one of these locally a while ago, and some friends loved it so much I gave it to them and had to buy myself a new one to replace it. This one's not as pretty, or quite as nice sounding as my original, but it still sounds great and it's a lot of fun to play.

What I believe to be scrap wood was used to make the one I got. One of the panels have three holes drilled part way through, looks like .... when you can see inside!
