                I've played LP for many years. I now play the latest Classic/Eddie Montalvo model. But when I saw the Performer on sale, I couldn't resist and bought the quinto and tumba. Exact same hardware as the Montalvo congas, same height (30"), same wood and same finish (different color but exactly same quality finish). The Performer is narrower than my Montalvo but the sound cuts through as well or better than Montalvo...Amazing congas!

                Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
